Good size store with a wide range. Pharmacy is usually quite busy at most times but the staff are helpful.

They never answer their phones constantly having to chase up prescription told they are ready get up there to be told they haven't received the prescription. Best place to complain is too Boots head office that is the only time I've made any progress

Tried phoning chemist alday Monday between myself and my wife we called 56 times with no answer had to leave work early on mainland to get back just to find out if my tablets were ready they were . when i asked if they had a problem with the phone they said no there is only 3 of us and it's difficult to answer the phone what 56 difficult times don't think so

Hopelessly inefficient and rude with it. Prescriptions often can?t be met due to lack of stock (despite having many days notice). Trying to find an order leads to an extraordinary bin rummage. I?ve had arguments about leaving a repeat for asthmatic inhalers that require a daily dosage - so a known monthly consumption - and being told I was wrong. I?ve stood at an empty counter, in plain sight, and listened to the gossiping staff talking about their personal issues. Unlike most pharmacies, they close for lunch (not according to their web site) and don?t open on a Saturday. After five years, where most visits have been a frustration, I?m no longer using them. Went to an independent chemist after the latest issues and was served with a smile and an amazing service where my items - all in stock - took 10 minutes to dispense.

While the queues can be lengthy, I?ve found once you?re at the counter that you are dealt with very well (especially by the older staff).

When they couldn't get my daughter's antibiotics before Christmas I thought ok everywhere is having the same problem but I thought I'd collect the paracetamol the doc had prescribed, I got just outside the door and opened the bag to find they'd given me the up to age 6 and I needed the 6 +, when I made them aware the lady on the front desk went to the pharmacist who said we can't swap it as we aren't supposed to dish it out( but hunny the doctor prescribed it ) so I said but you have given me the wrong one, my daughter is 7 her birth date is on the prescription and she's a big 7 at that what do I do with this now? What dose do I give her? , so the lady serving ( not the pharmacist) told me TO JUST GIVE HER AN EXTRA SPOONFUL - to give her 15mls of paracetamol every 4 hours, I couldn't believe my ears, I'm not that stupid so I went back and complained to one of the GP's who told me most certainly do not do that give her 10 mls, I am so annoyed that could have been really harmful to my child, I could have followed their advice and suffered the consequences my advice to everyone Don't take advice from any of the workers in there unless it comes from the pharmacist I will ALWAYS go back to the doctors if I'm not sure of anything I DON'T TRUST THEM NOW

Simply wont answer the phone, I have tried for 2 days solid....Id like to make an official complaint , but to who? I need my prescription, they say 'do it online' I would if they answered the phone and told me how to, absolutely useless and not fit to handle peoples medication

Unfortunately 1 is the lowest I can rate them. I have had Countless of problems and experiences. My daughter was prescribed a medication from the doctor when she had croup and they told me it wasn?t cost effective enough for them to open the bottle of medicine for the amount she needed and wouldn?t prescribe it. Went to collect my prescription to be told I don?t have one, I phoned the doctors and they checked the tracker and it said it had been collected, I then phoned the pharmacy back and they basically accused me of lying and said that it had been collected; why would I be phoning if I had the prescription. Can always hear them in the background being rude and making comments. I asked if I could be signed up to the text services when my prescriptions are in, not once did I receive a text. They no longer organise repeat prescriptions and aren?t open on a Saturday which is no use to people working Monday to Friday. Yes handy being underneath the surgery but I have now changed pharmacy because I can?t deal with them anymore.

Went in to pick up the rest of a prescription owed a week on from when the prescription was partially dispensed. Was told they didn?t have it and would possibly get it in Mondays delivery asked if I could go elsewhere to get the rest of the prescription as going away Sunday for a week and was told no the prescription would need to be reissued by the DR as they had already dispensed part of it. Staff were disinterested in helping and could hear them in the back making sarcastic and rude comments.

Never seem to answer the phone. Prescriptions rarely available in full, meaning trips back and forth between other pharmacies. Always seem to shift blame for missing items onto GP or onto you. How difficult is it to answer the phone so patients can avoid wasted journeys? They couldn't even dispense some items, because their system no longer stocked those items and didn't recognise them. Travelled to the larger Boots in Newport but had to ring the hospital clinic to put the item by for me as I had run out by the time I was told this. Why the staff at Cowes Boots couldn't have said as much upfront is beyond me. The staff attitude seems to indicate they think that patients know the ins and outs of dispensing prescriptions.
