Had a late afternoon MRI scan in Newport and really didn't want to have to cook afterwards. So I planned a visit to the pub on our way home. we had the beef & Stilton pie and wow that filled us up! lovely veg and gravy made the meal perfect... Outstanding food and not overpriced either! A1

Had driven past a number of times while on holiday. Called and booked in for Sunday dinner. Booking was taken with ease and the lady was very polite and helpful. Arrived in good time and was given a warm welcome. Easy selection of food and a good selection of beer, wine and other drinks. Plenty of room around table's and comfy seats. Food was excellent and portion size was great value.
Well presented and very tasty. Good selection of desserts on the menu to round off the meal. 5 star service provided here.

Fantastic, as far as pubs go, they?re one of the best. Drinks are fair, food is good, portioning is perfect. All staff friendly and engaged with you personally.
They overcharged on my order but fixed it without prompt.

We called in on a Saturday teatime, we were really hungry as we walked from Thorness. We ordered starters, chilli nachos and halloumi fries. Oh my goodness! The chilli nachos portion size was enormous, both starters so tasty, hot, and reasonably priced. We then had chicken curry and a burger for our mains, there was so much chicken in the curry, which was homemade and delicious, as was the burger. You must eat here! The staff are so nice and the atmosphere is just what a country pub should be!
