We had a wonderful Sunday lunch today. Although there was a wait for food, the team kept us informed, and we didn?t mind at all as we enjoyed the beautiful views from the garden. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the food was well worth the wait- delicious, and perfectly cooked. A lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

We were there today for Sunday Roast as a celebration from my MILs 83rd birthday. Disappointed is all I can say having been several times over the years. Seated and ordered in good time but then 50 minutes for mains to arrive. It was a Sunday but not all tables were full and the outside seating certainly wasn?t full. My sons plate was missing his roast potatoes - disappointed they were not real roasties clearly frozen or bought (every pub I?ve been to they?ve always been real ones) my daughter who doesn?t like creamy things asked for without Cauliflower cheese they evidentially forgot and just before service scooped it off as remnants remained (did ask us after we mentioned it to change her plate but given the long wait already decided against it) Roast Potatoes and parsnips seemed unduly oily. Turkey was not good quality and the beef was tough and certainly not pink like the menu. We were missing the extra pigs in blankets as well for some of the dishes. The lamb was nice which the birthday girl had thankfully. Without complaining we were offered a free drink and 10% off the bill which was a good gesture but we won?t be coming back any time soon - such a shame it?s going downhill

We went to this pub this evening with a young family two kids and a Labrador., had a great time. A very pleasant surprise having a Jazz singer performing, a very talented young lady. The two young boys got up and danced.other people joined in and partnered the boys. Everyone had a great time.
