I was served by Liz at the perfume section - she was absolutely lovely, cheerful and enthusiastic. She was so patient and seemed very passionate when helping us. She shared her own personal preferences on the perfumes which seemed to be exactly what we were looking for - She knows her stuff very well and is a wonderful person!

Great customer service. I saw a LG OLED TV which is sold out online but still have 2 in stock in this store. I called the customer service and people from this branch called me back. I missed the call but they called again. I purchased my TV through the phone call and received the TV in well package very soon. I noticed I didn't received any receipt and I called them again. And in the second day they sent me the e-mail containing electronic receipt. Today in the afternoon I received a mail which is a physical copy of my receipt. I want to say thank you very much to the staff who helped me buy the TV I really would love to buy through the phone and staff who handled the receipt issue so quickly. Even though we never met but I had such a nice shopping experience with them. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Good department store with good selections in all departments. Cafe has nice food and great cake, and is quite big. There is parent and child toilet but also a parent room with baby changing and feeding facilities.

Saturday morning shop at JL Welwyn garden. Trying to buy a bed and curtains. Despite spending 30 mins in bed dept, trying out beds, rather frustrated that the 2 assistants didn't engage or offer any assistance. We left empty handed and bought in another shop. Same lack of interest/help in curtain dept. Normally a fan of JL, not on this occasion.

On the 22nd of June, I popped into John Lewis and witnessed absolutely unacceptable behaviour from What I believe was the store manager on duty. I was utterly disgusted when I heard the way ?Anne Marie? spoke to another staff member. Not only was she rude, but also incredibly patronising and I believe this is a complete abuse of power in the work place. I am totally appalled, especially after seeing how visibly upset the poor young worker was. This is beyond unacceptable. I was debating leaving this review, hence the late reply but after seeing a repeated trend in these so called ?managers? I feel I must do my due diligence to bring this to the spotlight.

Customer Service at Clinique ? John Lewis Welwyn Garden City
Dear Manager,
I hope you are well. I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received today at the Clinique stand in John Lewis, Welwyn Garden City.
I visited the store to purchase makeup products, as it is a place where I regularly shop. I approached the lady working at the Clinique stand for assistance and mentioned that I wanted to buy all my makeup products from there, as my previous ones had run out. I asked if I could try the cream and powder highlighters, but she responded in a very unwilling and unmotivated manner, saying, ?They are the same thing anyway; one is enough.? It felt as though I was forcing her to provide customer service. She only let me try the powders because I insisted. Her attitude showed absolutely no enthusiasm for her job.
She then gave me a powder that was much darker than my skin tone, and I ended up purchasing five products, totaling £135. She asked if I had a Clinique membership, to which I said no. I then asked if any promotions were available for the products I purchased, and she said no. However, my friend noticed a sign stating that spending £120 would grant a £30 discount. When we asked her about it, she hesitantly applied the discount, making it seem as if she had been trying to hide it from us.
Additionally, when my friend asked about the benefits of having a loyalty card, the staff member raised her voice and explained in a rude and unprofessional manner. Her concentration on her job was nonexistent. On top of that, she charged me for an extra product that I did not want.
Her behavior was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. Employees with such a lack of professionalism and customer service skills should not be working in places like this. I kindly request that the responsible manager take the necessary action regarding this situation as soon as possible.

Sorry too say yesterday I was really disappointed I stood there waiting in the electrical department for a MacBook I was interested buying but two staff members absolutely ignored my presence on purpose and served other customers one staff member who was the only polite and best off all finally served me and knew I waited long and asked me about my interest off my MacBook purchase he then was decent enough to support me on what one I was after which sadly was sold out but instead told me the other one which was in stock and happy to buy straight away so have too say the guy who actually served me was only one which deserved my respect :) ? ps the one I ended up with was (space grey) :)

Very disappointed by the poor experience I had today at the John Lewis Welwyn store. Very poor customer service. Very poor quality children?s shoes. Not at all what I expected from the John Lewis brand, which I thought stood for high quality and good customer service.

Awful service at Clarins counter today. Assistant not friendly, surly and offered no advice. Not the usual standard I have had previously from a Clarins assistant. I will buy online from now on.
