“I just wanted to pass on my thanks to the team and the fitter, Josh, for the great job done to replace the coir mat destroyed by our 2 puppies in our hall.We were delighted (and amazed!) that you still had the karndean vKP40 American oak in stock after our initial order in March 2013 and Josh has done a fantastic job fitting it. “Today I went to Hatfield Wickes and bought a Bosch Easy Rotak 32-225 Corded 32cm lawnmower - however, when I got it home and unpacked it to assemble it I couldn’t work out how to assemble the handles and thought there was a manufacturer error with the screw. I drove back to my nearest branch in Welwyn Garden City frustrated; emotional and upset and spoke with Steve to inform him of my issue and could he assess the situation. Steve stood back and observed what I had done then proceeded to assemble the handles correctly - even explaining how to keep screwing in the black screw at the base of the lawnmower so it fully threads through.

Steve is a credit to Wickes as his customer service is exemplary - he went above and beyond - Steve deserves employee of the month!

He asked if I needed help ( not at all pushy) and went out of his way to find an item I was looking for and also loaded compost into my car.
