I visited the WGC store this afternon and was assisted by a young man called Josh. In all my years of shopping I have never come across a store assistant so helpful, pleasant, willing and cheerful. He asked if I needed help ( not at all pushy) and went out of his way to find an item I was looking for and also loaded compost into my car. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he is a credit to himself and the store. I hope this review will be fed back to him. Thanks Josh for a great shopping experience.

Hit and miss with the staff. Some are really knowledgable and will bend over backwards to help you. Some are clueless, with zero DIY knowledge. The latter tend to work on weekends and in a sweeping generalisation, are usually of the younger generation (ie students!) But the former, well, if you can find one, then you are in safe hands. Product wise, I?ve only once not found what I was looking for. On the one occasion where they were out of stock a helpful staff member recommended other stores (not necessarily B&Q) nearby that might stock item. I personally like it here. It?s convenient, but I do now try to shop on weekdays if I can, unless I know I won?t need help!

Tomor was so helpful when I called to check an item was actually in stock. The B&Q app said 1 in stock, but wanted to make sure before driving over, as it was out of stock at all my local branches. Tomor physically went to the store room while on the phone to me to check for me.

From previous experiences, I have attended this B & Q and left quite disappointed. Some of the staff clearly are not knowledgable/ not bothered but today I was very surprised. Eddie assisted my partner and I with our enquiries and provided a lot of suggestions. His customer service was amazing, he was professional, polite and extremely knowledgable. Thank you Eddie!

Excellent Customer Service! I needed to return an item and the transaction caused the team at the tills a significant level of complexity. Even on a busy Saturday afternoon, everyone was kind and courteous to me and after a LOT of effort they sorted out all the issues. Thank You so much.

I can?t thank the excellent service I have had this morning at the Welwyn Garden City branch enough. I ordered a collection of very heavy compost x 3. I walked in and was greeted. I went to collections and my order was ready to collect on a trolley. The lovely ladies in there were excellent. I asked if there was anyone that could put these in my car as I cannot lift heavy objects. Immediately Zaki was there and promptly followed me to my car and put them into my car for me. Zaki was very helpful and he made me feel comfortable asking for help. Well done B & Q.

Absolutely appalling service. I ordered 10 doors that were delivered on Thursday 28 March. 5 were rejected on delivery due to damage. Apparently the delivery company had raised this as an issue and they were told to deliver them anyway to see if we would accept them. We then called customer service to advise of the damage and ask for replacements. It's been 2 1/2 weeks and no one is able to tell us when replacements will be delivered, when ordering new doors these are delivered in 2-4 days. Despite me saying I have had fitters to pay, I keep getting the same response parroted back to me by the customer service team who are in South Africa "the issue has been raised as an escalation". Yet this doesn't seem to be true either as apparently I should hear back in 72 hours max and I have now called 4 times. Every time I call I keep having to explain the same thing again as apparently there are no notes made against my order?! All in all a very shoddy experience and I won't ever order products from here again. Clearly a big organisation with many cogs being outsourced that cares nothing for customer service.
