My local Timpson store at Tesco Watford is such a nice one . The young lady who serves there is so kind , professional and thorough in her job . Remembers customer so easily. Very pleased with her service .

I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received at Timpson's Lower High Street Tesco Extra Beach. On 4/7/2025, I visited to replace my car key battery due to a low charge warning on my dashboard. The staff member, Tianna, who claimed to be the branch manager, refused to honor the warranty despite me having the receipt. She insisted on a warranty card, which I wasn't given at the time of purchase. The staff member's attitude was unhelpful, and she arrogantly refused to change the battery even after customer service intervened.
However, the next day I went to change the battery and Chris changed the battery without any issues he was kind and I got my job done without a hassle.

I needed an emergency key cut and turned up at their door at 5:57pm and the lady couldn?t had been more helpful, cut my key and was very polite and friendly. I couldn?t had asked for better service Thank you so much Timpson Watford

August 2025: service not good anymore since new lady Tianna came in.
Her approach towards customers is poor. When you enter there?s no greeting no smile, i understand end of day everyone wants to go home but each time i go around 5.40 she seems stroppy and makes me wait as she busy cashing up.
I got a key cut and needed it urgently as was going abroad so I needed a key to give to my family and it didn?t work. I went back the next day and waited over half an hour and the shop was closed with a sign saying I?ll be back soon and it was only 5.30!
Anyway I got a refund today but it took too long and Tianna just seemed stroppy and grumpy.
The other guys was really good Naz. He looked after his customers. Please retrain Tianna - I?m sure she?s a lovely person but just needs customer service training

We went to get our keys cut with Timpson today by Tesco in Watford and my memory fails me but the lady who served us was amazing. Customer service right from the off. And such cool hair too! My son will never forget the experience in there today. Thank you guys! Keys were perfect!

Tianna went above and beyond to help today. I accidentally locked myself out my car and she was lovely allowing me to use her phone to call AA and waiting with me till they arrived. Would recommend and will definetely come back for excep?ional service.

Got a watch battery replaced for a Lady's Longines watch. Old but estimated new value is probably £500. Got 2 prices. £59.95 for a 1 year guarantee and £99.95 for a lifetime guarantee. It took the person less than 10 minutes to change, probably spent more time writing out the guarantee card than replacing the battery.
The quick turnaround is fantastic. Hopefully the replacement has been done properly so that there will be no future issues related to opening up the casing and not sealing it properly or anything else.
But how can they justify this price?
To be fair to them, any upmarket Jeweller or Watch Shop will probably charge more.
But isn't this why the cost of living is high in the UK?
Timpsons will charge a fraction of this price for cutting a key and it would take as long if not longer.
Timpsons prides itself on its ethics. But this does not suggest fairness.
Will think twice about using Timpsons for any service in the future
