Had my appointment booked for weeks, but Specsavers changed it to earlier the same day while I was still at work. When I arrived just a few minutes late to the new time, they turned me away. Really poor service ? I?d recommend going elsewhere if you can

Very positive experience. I was served by Romel, Geronimo, and Harvey, all of whom were very polite and accommodating. They really went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend the staff.

I was not expecting to buy glasses on the day. My main concern was dry eyes and eye strain, and the appointment identified that I have a very small prescription (+0.5). I completely wasn't expecting to buy glasses on the day, I wanted to at least go home and have a think about it. However, the sales attendant was very pushy and eventually I felt pressured to buy the glasses. I came home and regretted it instantly. Aside from that, the next fitting appointment went very smoothly although I felt it was a little too brisk for my taste, and overall the glasses are working fine. My eyes are less dry and the strain has reduced. I just feel it would have been nice not to feel pushed into buying the glasses, they're not cheap after all.

I went to pick up my glasses today after getting new lenses fitted based on my prescription. However, when I tried them on, they didn?t feel right. I asked them to double-check the prescription, and they insisted they had used the one I provided. But it was obvious they had used an outdated prescription?one from 10 years ago!
I overheard the staff member telling the manager that the prescription was 10 years old, yet she still lied to my face, claiming it was correct. Now, I can?t use my glasses, and they refuse to take responsibility. I?ve just lost £140 due to their mistake. Extremely disappointed with their service and lack of honesty.

Absolutely shocking service, constantly trying to get money out of customers for tests which are not required on every visit and refuse to give prescriptions without a new test every time!

Review of the shop
I am extremely dissatisfied with the service at this shop. During my eye test, the optician prescribed contact lenses with a -2.75 prescription. I paid for the eye test and temporary lenses with the same prescription and subscribed to receive these lenses regularly. However, two weeks later, I received lenses with a -2.25 prescription.
I didn?t open the packaging and immediately contacted the shop to request an exchange for the correct lenses. The manager was rude and insisted that they had sent what the optician prescribed, which was untrue. They refused to exchange the lenses.
For over a month, I tried to book an appointment with the optician, but they work only on Thursdays and are always unavailable. It felt like I was being deliberately ignored.
In the end, I had to wear the incorrect lenses, which left me barely able to see properly. To make matters worse, one of the lenses tore while I was wearing it, and I had to seek help from the NHS.
I strongly advise against using this shop due to their unprofessional staff, poor customer service, and refusal to take responsibility for their mistakes.

I phoned the Watford branch today and was absolutely appalled by the mannerism of the person I spoke to at this Specsavers branch. I myself have worked in customer service for over 30 years dealing with people both on the phone and face to face. Never in my life have I been spoken to so rudely and unprofessionally by someone both during my career and as a customer. This has been on more than one occasion and recognising the voice, believe this to be the same person. Your customer service is disgusting and from my experience, do not listen. I will not be returning!

NOT a very good service at all, me and my fiance paid about £400 for glasses and a eye test in total ,you would think paying so much for glasses with all the added extras they make you pay for that the eye check would be free OH NO, worst thing is after paying a ridiculous amount you can't just pop in and pick up your glasses when they are ready you have to work around them and make appointments to go and pick them up,ABSOLUTE JOKE, I now have to wait ages for my glasses because these incompetent people make you wait because of there stupid appointments system, NEVER AGAIN
NOW I am waiting a week or more because of this stupid system, all I need to do is collect them but NO ,I have to make an appointment that suits them not me,RUBBISH SERVICE, GO ELSEWHERE.
Customer service is also appalling, the lady who answered the phone was just rude and obnoxious, what a terrible customer service, NEVER AGAIN.
