Didn't have the pizzas we wanted or the drinks we wanted, but only told us that 15 minutes after we had ordered, so we had to go through the menu again. Food arrived nearly an hour after we arrived. Could have gone to a proper restaurant for the price we were charged.
Service was pleasant enough. the food that we did eventually get was unremarkable.

Food spot on as any other pizza express , delicious and tasty. However looking at the more recent reviews I can see that my experience today was felt by other customers as well , service is incredibly slow , walked in manager on shift seemed bothered rather than happy to have more and more customers during a rush hour. We were greeted in a very serious manner and told to wait for a table despite seeing plenty of free ones from the back of the restaurant to the front. The wait on starters and mains was slow , planned on getting desserts but it would?ve taken too long , many customers around us seemed annoyed by the slow service and even forgotten about when asking for a drink. Tables took a while to get cleaned , staff mainly chatting amongst themselves and any other staff members apart from the manager on shift would ignore everyone standing at the front waiting. The location and atmosphere has so much potential and Id love to come back again but service really matters to make the dining experience better , regardless of a managerial position or not if you?re not happy to work in hospitality then don?t.

Poor food, asked for exclusions but pizza came with it anyway, couldn't get hold of a team member until finished, even after then we could not get the attention of staff and paid via app and left. Very expensive, poor food and service.

The food was very tasty. We had the dough balls Al fresco, a sloppy Giuseppe pizza and the ultimate chocolate fudge cake.
The service wasn't bad, but it wasn't very quick either.

The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed for a Friday evening, sadly, we weren?t greeted by anyone, the woman who served us, had absolutely no desire to be at Pizza Express in Watford. She made zero eye contact and did the bare minimum. She made our evening mildly unpleasant, as a result, we didn?t leave a tip - there was no thank you or bye, hence this comment. It was an awkward exit.
When asked where the toilets were, two female staff were talking snot their night out, and looked annoyed, as I had interrupted them. They told me ?upstairs?, and carried on talking. I had to ask where is the upstairs, as it was my first visit!
We ordered mint teas, the leaves weren?t the best - see photos. The pizzas were delicious.

Such a friendly and fantastic team at the Watford branch, great management also. All deserve a pay rise with how busy that place is and how much work they have to do,

Family of 4 went in today 7/12/24 around 5pm we were seated then waited for 30 mins nobody came over and even asked if we wanted a drink let alone order food. Services was terrible no wonder pizza express is struggling. We only had 2 hours before had to be somewhere else, so I thought at this rate we would never make it so we decided to just leave before ordering anything and had a takeaway on the way back.

Waited 40 minutes, when asked about the ETA received a rude response from the lady with glasses standing at the front of the house, no proper management, received wrong pizza even after waiting for 40 minutes and got charged extra. Ordered one pizza and got charged £18.30 for that.

Saturday 24th November: The moody middle aged bald guy at the front of the house needs to sort his attitude out. As the front of the house you should be greeting customers with a smile, yet he was the complete opposite. We walked in at 5pm and it was almost empty, to be told ?can you not see the sign outside we are fully booked so its online reservations only? and in a rude way of saying it too. Funnily enough we went online and booked on the website just under 30mins later with loads of availability? Why couldnt he have booked us in there and then or reserved us a table for 30mins time? Attitude problems thats why. Poor .

Placed a delivery order with this branch and was delivered the wrong order.
Attempted to contact the restaurant and advised that the wrong order has been sent out was then hung up upon.
After attempting to contact customer services was then advised to go and collect the order from the store which is remarkably stupid as delivery had already been paid.
Highly disappointed and will be taking this further!
