Never enough staff to complete work in a timely fashion. It's simply not good enough to turn up for an mot and there not be a tester available - a simple phone call could have saved a wasted morning.

Mot exactly at promised... was so pleased they were reliable since this was my third attempt to get an MOT! George, the manager, was extremely welcoming and helpful and made the wait pass very quickly.

The Hertford auto centre saved the day today! I needed some help at short notice with my tyres that a garage nearby was having trouble with. They not only helped me out without a booking but did it free of charge. Thank you so much!

Had MOT done there. Staff friendly and helpful. Taken and finished on time. One staff member even told us, where there was a nearby pub, w ecould get a drink at while waiting.

Had a booking via Arval for 12pm to change one tyre during my lunch break. Travelled 20 mins to get there. Turned up 10 mins early. They guy on the desk was very unhelpful and said he would have to see if the tyre had come in, then see if he could find the login for Arval then would have to inspect it and get their approval - basically made me feel like I was a complete pain. Then said he only had two technicians there so would take 3-4 hours! He said he could book more for another time but couldn't guarantee it could be done within the booked times slot! Needless to say I couldn't wait and cancelled the booking and will find someone more helpful!

Alex, Leon and team at Halfords Autocentre, Hertford went out of their way to help when our car was still experiencing odd noises after getting its exhaust replaced at another garage. As we were unsure if it was a related problem, we brought it in for a free check. They quickly found and reported the issue to us which was caused by the garage who performed the original repair and supplied us with the evidence we needed to get it resolved. Friendly service, would recommend!

Giving them 1 star, is being polite. The staff there are incredibly unfriendly, they wouldn?t even bat an eyelid if your tyres were hanging off by a tread? it?s almost like they have no idea that they work in the industry?! When you show up it seems like they annoyed that they have to do some work. Spend your money elsewhere unless you like to be treated like you are completely and utterly useless. I will never use them again. Doesn?t matter how much money to spend, service is service and I expect people to do their jobs with a smile instead of making you feel like you are bothering their day.
