Really lovely place, had a nice peaceful stay. Comfortable room with a very nice ensuite. The pub is nice, could do with a few more Vegan options but the overall price was okay.

Awful service, they can't cook a steak to save their lives and water cress served on top of a desert. Wouldn't recommend to anyone

The pub itself really nice and staff where great out front of house but the roast dinner was really poor nothing like it said in the menu over cooked meat and undercooked everything else

We had a terrific time. Rooms spotlessly clean and all staff a delight. Great food. Nice little touches everywhere. We will be back.

Room was clean and spacious, good price for room.
Rooms: Average sized double room with fairly clean bathroom ensuite. Comfy bed.
Food and drinks: Food is a little pricey for the quality. Def not my destination pub for a meal
Noteworthy details: Breakfast service was a little bit lacking, staff more interested talking amongst themselves than serving customers. Also they were talking about other staff member within earshot of customers. Not the best impression to give.

Great Chef and Brewer pub and accommodations excellent food and service with nice attentive staff. Rooms well appointed with nice touches.

Reasonably comfortable, the odd thing not perfect in the rooms (e.g. tv not working at first, hard pillows, towel rail seemed broken but then did come on later etc) but this only dropped them 1 star. Staff very friendly. Dog friendly, which is why we chose it.
Rooms: You can ask for a walk in shower and specify a ground floor room
Nearby activities: Nice dog walk just up the road and plenty of grass verges for dogs' toiletting.
Walkability: Ground floor rooms in different building to main pub for dining. Doorways have shallow steps to negotiate. Parking is good and can park right next to rooms building entrance.

Food and drinks: Wonderful English breakfast.

Can't rate highly enough, we only stayed for 1 night, but everything was perfect, the rooms was first class, we was a family of 3 and we had 9 suitcases as we was leaving the country the next day on a permanent basis, so we was quite stressed, but the staff at this hotel were so helpful and so friendly that it made things a lot easier, lovely bar and a lovely breakfast too.

Family wedding in location and Feathers recommended for both rooms and food if required.
Very tidy, clean and staff professional.
Rooms: If you are tall, as for rooms on ground floor as low ceiling and beams in first floor.
Also if a wheel chair.. Be sure to advise.
