Obnoxiously high and unreasonable prices in the name of charity/funding research. A major purpose of charity shops is to provide affordable items. No point in selling second-hand items at almost the exact same price as they were new?

It?s understandable that you need to make as much money as possible for the charity, however part of the idea of a charity shop is that is it affordable. £45 for a jacket is not affordable.

I?m not a local customer.I loved the atmosphere in the shop and all the employees were very helpful and vibrant.

Very overpriced. I would recommend the manager goes out to some other charity shops and look around as if they were a customer then go back instore and do the same. People shop in these shops because we can't afford otherwise but prices in there you might aswel buy new. If you want to charge that much make an ebay page or something

I am shocked at the prices in this branch. Its supposed to be a charity shop but I cannot afford their outrageous prices. £30 for a thin little jacket, £20 for a dress and neither designer. They get their clothes for free from the public, get charity tax breaks just like all the other charity shops but the BHF is not out to help the poor in the community like other charity shops. Charity is a two way street therefore, I won't donate or buy from BHF shops anymore.

As previously mentioned by another reviewer, prices are extremely high. This is general of every British Heart Foundation shop. The response from BHF was that they try to raise as much as possible for heart research.Every charity wants as much as possible funding ,but not every charity shop is so expensive .Charity shops are there, taking advantage of no taxes and business rates relief( paying almost no rent or wages), except to CEO whose wages are more than 200 000 pounds, similar to that of Prime Minister. Charity shops are relieved of almost any expense because they also sell affordable goods which people could not afford otherwise, and when they price items sometimes even higher than High street shops,I am quite frankly avoid buying and supporting them because I don't want to pay fat wages of CEO and management team.Charity shops should have 2 purposes: raising funds for the cause while providing affordable goods to poorest in society who otherwise could not afford them.I see a lot of pensioners and moms with babies in these shops and keeping prices so high is shocking.Simply avoid if you see disgusting " non- charitable " prices.

I am a regular customer and the star rating I give is because of the high prices! The staff are all great but it is shocking to me that the prices are so high in this shop. Please take this review into consideration and I know I?m not the only one thinking this way because I heard a few customer saying exactly what I was thinking. Expensive !

I admit that prices can be higher than usual sometimes (they probably check ebay etc) but everything is in good condition, and most importantly the staff are nice and friendly. I've been going there for 5 years now and it really makes a difference when you are greeted with a friendly face. They often put things aside for me and to be honest it's a charity and business at the end of the day. I've been able to haggle on prices too. It's really a good place to go.

A little pricey in comparison to other BHF shops I've been in. People shop in charity shops for a bargain or something nice and affordable, however the prices are creeping up!
