Excellent pub and the food was amazing, from portion size to the Jolly burger it was great.
We were camping at the farm really recommend the place even though the cows were mooing at 2330 and the sheep at 4am ?

Came here 5 or 6 years ago and it wasn't up to much food wise but there must be a new chef because everything was amazing . Pheasant tagliatelle was banging and the steak was perfectly cooked with a huge pile of crispy french fry style chips. Also some lovely well kept cask ale courtesy of Woodfordes and some Adnams bottles . Can't recommend enough .

Great location with a decent beer garden for the kids to run around in when sunny.
We went for Saturday lunch at 12 and it was chaos. There's a camp site across the road and so people descend in groups.
Menu and food is below average. The kids pizzas were 5 inch microwaved tosh and the burgers made maccys look like the golden ticket. Sharing boards were ok for snacks.
If you're camping, then have a look given the convenience, but I wouldn't go out of your way.

I came to this pub. I asked them for a menu and they gave me one then I waited at the bar for 20 minutes to order. When I wanted to order they said they weren?t taking orders unless you?d booked. They couldn?t explain why they didn?t say this when they gave me the menu before I waited. The manager wouldn?t speak to me. I?ve eaten here before and the food is average. Avoid if you can.

Quite pricey for the quality of the food. Salad consisted of just green iceberg lettuce, which was brown on the edges. Anaemic fries and a huge plastic catering ketchup. Staff were nice and friendly though but no atmosphere as we were the only ones eating.

This is my first ever review but after my experience here, I had to review it. This pub has the atmosphere and posture of an old oak barn. You can smell remnants of fires that have been and gone, stories that have been written and told here. It makes you feel like you?re 8 years old again and papa has come home. Oh and the staff was slow as anything. Maybe get some more. All of that taken into consideration, my overall rating is eh can either take it or leave it

This place is really under staffed. I saw the janitor cooking burgers, and the cleaners making drinks behind the bar. For some reason they was acting like Tom cruise from the film cocktail. I think it?s time for change

I enjoyed a really excellent lunch as a member of a walking group. Pheasant tagliatelle was a most unusual dish and absolutely superb. Beautiful pub with outstanding service from wait-staff and chef.

Very friendly staff and great service. Nice garden to eat in. The menu is limited, but the food is tasty.

The food on the main menu is slightly overpriced in my opinion, but fairly exceptional quality. The Kids Menu on the other hand is a different matter. I paid £19 for two kids pizzas and was served two tiny pre supermarket brought oven/ microwave pizzas without any sides, chips or anything. Very annoyed as I could identify the exact tesco homebrand (value pizza) as I've served this to my child before. Price being 85p or so.
