Booked a table 2 weeks in advance, arrived at restaurant only to be told wait and someone will help you! Not even greeted with a good evening. Waited whilst waitresses rushed past ,waited and waited, , still no response or recognition that we were even there. Fed up of waiting so went through to the restaurant ,hoping that someone would treat us with some courtesy , only to be told that our table wasn?t ready so go through to the bar and buy yourself a drink and we?ll let you know when we?re ready
At this stage our party of four walked out
I have never been treated with such discourtesy or indifference in any restaurant before!!!
It goes without saying that we will not return again

Had heard good things about Maltons and was not disappointed! We were celebrating my daughter?s engagement with a party of 10. The owner welcomed us personally with our drinks and throughout the meal, he, and the waiting staff were attentive without being obtrusive. All food was delicious and served in a timely manner without us feeling rushed. Considering there was a party of 60 outside, the service was excellent. Would make a special mention of the beef and horseradish pie! Amazing. Thank you for a great dining experience.

This is a very nice, modern restaurant - they have really made it beautiful inside, and we were greeted warmly and with friendliness. The service was very good and efficient. We mostly enjoyed our meal, but 2 of us had the burger, and unfortunately found it contained a few hard lumps that were very off-putting, but not to the extent that we couldn't eat it - I just wouldn't have the burger again, although my friend had a chicken dish, which she really enjoyed. I think the menu is a little limited, but generally, overall, a nice place to visit, so I would recommend it.

Bit noisy due to hard furnishings but the food was excellent and will be back .Very busy on a Tuesday which is a good sign.

A wonderful evening spent at Maltons. The pizzas were delicious! The staff and atmosphere were also perfect. The only thing I could recommend is to offer some chilli oil but that?s me looking for something to add to already a great offering!

Very welcoming. The regular menu had lots of fabulous sounding options. We ended up choosing from their fixed price lunch menu which offered plenty of choices for a group of four on a first time visit. The service was excellent and the food superb. I ended with the cheese plate which was a lovely selection of diverse and interesting British cheeses. Looking forward to a second visit.

The food was very nice. And so was the service. Can't mention about the atmosphere as there weren't many people on that occasion.
