Just ordered coffees so can't comment on food. Went to order more hot drinks but the barman had taken himself off into a area of the restaurant so I had to ask him if he could come back and serve me. Won't be going back.

Friendly service although advise booking in advance as it does get very busy. Be prepared for a wait, but staff are always very nice and do their best. Last visit we had a long wait, and the food came and mine was over cooked. I mentioned it and was asked if I wanted some more chicken, I said it was ok but just feed back to the kitchen in case there was someone who may make a fuss. Long story short, as an apology, there was no charge for our desserts. You can?t say better than that!

Four roast delivered to the table, all cold.
Asked for replacements, just received dried up microwaved versions of our original meals.
Returned these and decided to go somewhere else.

Parking: Great place to go if you have kids and are on a budget. Friendly staff but need to employ a better cleaner.
Kid-friendliness: Massive garden and climbing frames for the kids.

Went to crows nest today 16.30 taken to table filthy under table no complaint ordered one starter lovely received main course at 17.35 not happy coated chips disgusting sent back quicker if I had plain chips wife and sister in law ordered same salmon meal both wrong chips came eventually burger nearly finished brother in law ordered mixed grill medium rare steak turned up well done father in law ordered bq chicken lovely by now 1810 did not stay for pudding £80 with 40% off luckily I don?t live here I won?t be back again but my in laws are local and they are not going back either shame on u beefeater. Absolutely disgusting

That?s frustrating, especially when you specifically asked for it rare. A rare steak should have a cool, red center and be seared on the outside?definitely not overcooked. If they?ve messed it up twice, it?s likely the chef either doesn?t know how to cook rare steak properly or isn?t taking your request seriously.

A great environment for a wednesday evening meal. The server was fantastic - friendly, informative and professional. Ordered a steak and fish and chips with starters. The starters, calamari and chicken wings were good, slightly overcooked but tasty. The fish and chips was barely passable. The fish, inside a very thick oily batter, was dry, overcooked and tasteless. I'm not sure if this was a one off but it was not enjoyable at all. The chips were although oily was more tasty than the fish. This also came with mushy peas that was thick and stodgy...i had to add mayo to soften it up a bit. The steak was cooked to order and it was done well however it lacked taste...although I have to say it also, although different, had more taste than the fish. The environment is so lovely and the servers were excellent but the food let it down - won't be going back for seconds.

Arrived for a meal to be asked have you booked a table (we hadn?t) to be told we don?t accept walk in customers ( the restaurant was virtually empty)? But could sit in the bar side area and order from the same restaurant menu.
I ordered a mixed grill with steak medium rare, and my partner ordered a bacon burger after approximately 40 minutes later the food arrived, my steak was so overcooked it was borderline black and bone dry, the triple cooked chips were barely cooked once never mind triple cooked, my partner?s burger was also burnt to a crisp it looked like a carpet tile and the bacon shattered into pieces when trying to cut it.
I wouldn?t trust the chef (using that title very loosely) to make toast.
Worse experience ever I wouldn?t return even if the food was free and I was starving!
Avoid? top prices for extremely substandard food.

This is an extensive chain restaurant on the busy A41 and it?s attached to a Premier Inn. The building itself is comfortable and well presented and staff are very friendly. In addition to the restaurant, out the back is a nice garden area where you can eat and this has a nice view across towards Dunstable.
The staff are very welcoming and helpful and knowledgeable about the menu which, was standard for this type of chain, has a good range and variety for all tastes.
Service was good and when our food arrived, it was nicely cooked and presented.All in all a good place to eat.
