Nicely laid out post office, mixture of self-serve and kiosk desks to support with various queries. Queue wasn?t too long given it wss a weekday and still summer hols, the chap at the kiosk was friendly, calm and helpful and I was able to get my application sorted easily. Would recommend.

I waited 45 min to be seen. They tried to charge me £48 for my first provisional license (passing test) £43 just for the license and £5 for delivery. The license is FREE, it has a price list at the back of the form and I explained it to them, pointed it out on the list .She asked her manager and another person and they tried say it?s was still £43. At that point I was willing to pay £100 to get it over and done with. But they only accept a physical card or cash not Apple Pay. They had one trainee cashier at the desk for 40 min in rush hour. The manger arrived a few min before I was seen. I went to Oval post office and was charged £8 just for the delivery and nothing for the license. So even the delivery they messed up. I assume they would have sent it off second class. I will be placing an official complaint.

What a pathetically broken system. All of the self service postal tills were broken (they were broken a few months ago when I last visited here too) which meant needing to queue for 30-40mins to get a small parcel sent. Bear in mind this is 2pm on a Tuesday so not exactly a busy period. You have 4 members of staff visibly working; two working the main tills (which have working self service) and two at the postal and travel tills. Why are all staff not trained to fill any role in the store? Just a terrible, waste of time, I should have spent the time to drive to where the package was being sent too it would have cost me less. If you like having your time wasted please go here.

Waited for 40 mins to send one letter. Not a single self checkout machine was working and only half of the tills sere working, also incredibly slowly. Avoid if at all possible.

Staffs are rude and slow!

If there was a way to give zero stars I would
I stood for 25 minutes simply to send a parcel, and now I've read all of the reviews I agree service is terrible. I was in a lot of pain and when I finally got to the counter there was no apology for the wait. And when I muttered ridiculous under my breath the clerk asked me what I said so I told her. She said 'it wasn't their fault'. Well whose fault is it then? Instead of starting a confrontation with me she could have just apologised instead of making excuses! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! My complaint is on the way!

Unfortunately 3 self checkouts bays never work whenever I visit the shop. I do understand short of staff but come on !

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the service I received at the Post Office located in Stevenage town centre during my recent visit.
Upon arriving, I encountered an unacceptably long queue with 11 people waiting and only one staff member serving. As a disabled person with a pacemaker, hypertension, and supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), standing for extended periods is extremely challenging and poses a risk to my health. Despite waiting for over half an hour, I was left to endure the wait with no alternative provided.
When I raised my concerns with the staff member, I informed her of my condition, but I was told there was nothing she could do. To make matters worse, she then proceeded to take her break, leaving the queue even more understaffed. Another colleague later informed me that she was on her break, which only added to my frustration.
I believe it is essential that provisions be made for individuals with disabilities, such as offering a priority queue or ensuring that seating is available for those who are unable to stand for long periods. Additionally, ensuring that sufficient staff are available during peak times would greatly improve the experience for all customers.
I kindly request that you address this issue and consider making the necessary adjustments to better accommodate all customers.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you. Jane was the lady who took her brake Zain was serving

Awfully slow. There were at least 15 people in the queue in front on a weekday. Took 40 minutes to be seen. Everyone in front complaining. Two people serving. One being incredibly slow and without any kind of urgency. The other also being slow but also kept wondering off slowly for no reason. Machines broken so customers kept coming over dragging the only two people on desk away, causing even more delays. There are 5 windows and only two in use. Hire more staff and give the ones you do have proper training. This is ridiculous.

I've not had a single bad experience with any of the staffs service at this branch. I go in and if I am posting a small parcel/letter within the UK, I just use the self service (which is easy to use and pretty much self explanatory), then I am finished and out of there within 10 minutes!
I also recently had my drivers licence renewal done here, and yes, the wait time did take a little longer but when I did get to the window, the renewal process went really smoothly and was so professionally done. My new licence arrived back to me within 10 days which I personally would feed back as great service.
IMO, It's just the impatient customers that make it a bad/negative experience, tbh!
Don't scream at the staff members who are working hard to serve you, it's not their fault if they're a little understaffed. If you're nice to them, they'll be nice back to you!

The service for overseas posting is well below par. I used the self service machine because the queue was long. After paying for postage I had to queue all over again just to get a customs sticker. I won't bother using this post office again. They are not bothered about customers.

Is there a worse place to have to go. Because it's so bad I know buy postage on line and get them to collect with label which is free. Saves wasting a day. My tip

Come in here several times now to try and pay in a cheque on different times and days, every time the queue is unbelievably long and there appears to be very limited staff. Definitely not the service you would expect at a post office. Extremely disappointing as I have to pay for the car park each time!
