Overall its simply not as it was. Continual issues with lots of flys, not nice at anytime particularly when eating.
Fish & chips is good, but otherwise I'm generally disappointed.
This spoons is regularly ruined by the behaviour of customers & this is not addressed by staff. Shouting, swearing & aggressive behaviour towards others & staff regularly takes place.
Tables dont appear to be cleaned very often.
A pint is a pint, so fill my glass up, an inch below the rim is not full, alcoholic drink or not! And what's with the noise at 1am waking up residents. Moving barrels, music smashing glass etc Poor behaviour from staff & management

Kitchen and bar out of sync on a busy evening. I ordered food and drink bundle in the app, food came after around 15 minutes, no drink yet, I managed to finish my food and a drink arrived 20 minutes after I finished (they also realised they don't have the ale they sold in the app). I asked a few times the waiters but they didn't care and said that there is a queue for drinks. They didn't understand that food and drink should at least come together (and often drink comes first in many places). A CCTV camera in gents toilet is another weird idea.

I just done a double day shift, was starving hungry so could not be bothered to complain. I just wanted to eat and get home. I ordered a well done steak, all I can say is I think the cook ( I can,t call them a chef ) has either been drinking or did not have a clue what he was doing. My steak was rare .. not well done . Not medium.. nor medium rare, but was rare .. the people there and the manager don't come round to ask if your meal was ok or even come round to get your plates while you are there .. ( is that because they don't want to know of your meal was ok?.. if I go back there I will just have a simple meal.

Worst pub in Stevenage, 5 bar staff all doing nothing, 2 people waiting to be served and had to wait 20 mins while bar staff faffed about. Slowest service I?ve ever seen. The staff have no idea how to work a bar

I was here for breakfast, the food arrived reasonably quickly and was adequate.
Vegetarian options: A vegetarian breakfast is available, my husband had this and said it was ok.

This is my favourite spoons in the uk. Shaun on the door greets me with a cheeky smile as I enter every weekend. The atmosphere is incredible and I am guaranteed to leave feeling satisfied. They also do my favourite drink and I shake and itch all week waiting for the Saturday to come where I get to go to the standing order to indulge.

They have a nice pub garden out the back, it was lovely sitting out there. We used the app which was quick service. The food was nice but the portion sizes were small and I feel the prices are going up. The toilets could do with an upgrade though, they've seen better days.
