Went into new look today,I have never been served by a lady as rude as she was today! She was blunt she kept giving us very dirty faces she didn?t say Thankyou/please once basically snatched the money out of my hand

Hello, i just left 2 sunglasses and a pack of hair scrunchies from the Stevenage new look store as the lady /girl (she seemed young/new) who served me around 4:10 pm tuesday 7th May 2024 as per CCTV footage/record for you to check aswell.
When I approached the till with my items everything seemed fine she greeted me and proceeded with the usual scanning items etc. once the the total came it was at £24 despite the sunglasses costing 9.99 each and the scrunchies were on sale for £2 . I corrected her about this mistake but noticed she had a defensive/attitude about the correction as if im being a burden pointing out the issue to her anyway i ignored.
Once she corrected the mistake the total came up to £22.68 which i paid without thinking much of it. However the payment didn?t go through and i felt a bit uneasy about the amount so i explained to her its showing £22.68 but should be a bit less then that to which i noticed she seemed even more annoyed and was giving me dirty looks /condecending attitude. I felt so upset thinking its not my fault the price is showing incorrectly i almost felt she is doing ME a favour correcting the price when its actually her job to fix it.
I felt like im getting looked down upon and as if im a beggar or something. Its just a £1 afterall but at the moment money is tight nowadays with all the recession and you dont know what someone i going through so stop judging?
I felt as though im some cheap person fighting over a £1. I should of never been made to feel this way. I have always shopped in new look since my school days back in 2011 but the customer service and behaviour of the staff is going downhill especially in Stevenage.
The final straw was when this staff had finally fixed the price after i showed her in my calculator the correct amount but said in a very condescending tone body language and manner at the end ?better?? I was so disgusting with her comment especially coupled with her attitude and contempt towards me .
To this is replied in shock ?excuse me?!? And i pushed all item towards her and said i dont want these and left angrily (rightly so) and said i will complain (i have complained tge head office newlook complainants department) and wont be returning to this store and will tell all my friends not to either. To which the other staff approached her and asked what happened.
This girls demeanor completely changed when confronted by the other staff and acted like i was the rude customer and she explained to them whatever she needed to . I however went back towards them to tell them all why i had left angrily and itbwas because of her rude and condescending manner in which she said ?better?? I asked the staff for her name to which they refused to give. And one of the mixed race staff possibly a ?manager? had said to me if i was not happy with the service i should of just left. Why should i ?just leave? without stating the reason for it?? Anyway i left now thinking never to return to my once favourite shop and i looked back to see her and the 2 other staff that joined her laughing?presumably at me. (Birds of the same feather flock together)
You need to be monitoring the behaviour of your stevenage staff and take action against them immediately. They lack any customer service skills. Always ignore customer make you feel unwelcome and just forced to be there attitude. Absolutely appalling and unprofessional and unacceptable. You may even just close down stevenage new look store if the staff are not regulated or changed all together. For staff and management to laugh on customers is just ..i have no words im speechless..

My sister got wrongly accused of shoplifting at this stevenage store even though she was still in the middle of shopping?the staff made a big fuss and embarrassed my sister in front of so many customers and even said she will call the police my sister did reply back and defended herself as much as she could but was shaken by this extremely rude staff and encounter not to mention so embarrassed. Also she noticed that the staff in this store keep staring at you with an unfriendly face as if your some kind of thief and as if they are not doing their jobs but doing ?you? a favour by coming to work.My sister was extremely upset about being wrongly accused of shoplifting she feels terrible about how she has been treated hence why after 2 weeks i have to type this review!! as sis just can?t forget the disgusting experience she had!!!

The sale prices on the tickets never match the till so always check your receipt! I always get over charged and have to go back! The lady at the till stung of cigarettes and was really unhelpful.
