This is a refreshingly good banking service in this town when most of the rest are frankly downright appalling and worse. Louise was pleasant and polite in issuing a printed bank statement and totally unflustered by a minor printer device breakdown and even with that solved it in no time at all . Steve the manager , likewise very polite and approachable over the phone . Oh how this has all dramatically improved since a few years ago .As it says on the notice ' This branch will be open until at least 2026' - they are doing 'what it says on the tin' - long may they remain open for the whole of this century. Very well done the whole branch team for turning this branch around. It is the best in Stevenage now in my experience.

I only wanted to check my balance, and I was on the phone with this lady that really didn?t know what she was doing.... Put me on hold for 40 minutes then Cut me off. So I rang up again for same situation on hold for 40 minutes then got forwards to the wrong team..... so after 2 1/2 hours On the phone I eventually got my account balance! And I would also like to mention that they were also rude....and unhelpful.

I must say that Iâ??d been given great customer service from a woman called Faye. When I was upgrading my savings account, she went through a brochure and explained the benefits of having this particular account. Benefits I didnâ??t even know about in the first place.
Faye ensured that I got the best interest rate for my age and so I did, even when the doors were closing. Small wonder why Iâ??ve been with Nationwide for a while now. Very helpful lady no doubt.

terrible customer service, I am partially sighted with arthritic hands can can't use the automatic machines
When opening my current account I asked could I pay money and cheques via the counter?
"Oh yes, no problem" I was told so account was opened.
so first time to pay a cheque in and the snooty woman at the counter told me to use the machine.
explained about my disabilities and she didn't give a toss.
so going over to the machine and it doesn't offer large print and when I asked for help I was told that I was on my own and they don't even offer large print payment envelopes and I was told that sombody else would have to come and do it for me
so I went to another bank with counter service and move money via Internet
they happily lied to me just to get another account opened, they are just like any other bank
