Visited today to try to deposit a cheque for my father (who is housebound). Although this has never been a problem with other societies, the young man at the counter insisted that my father had to be there in person. I consider this to be ridiculous, but what bothered me more was the attitude of the assistant. He lacked any charm or empathy and no attempt was made to help resolve the problem - but he did tell me that the account would incur daily interest if it went overdrawn! He realised that I'd queued for 20 minutes, but there was no apology for that either. My father will be withdrawing his money and banking with a more client friendly society in future.

Front desk junior staff are rude and prejudiced to minority communities especially long term residents in the town and dangerous for your business account . You have been warned...they practice what targeted disruption of small businesses especially minority owned. This feels like a repeat of the HBOS Reading scandal. Google that and prepare to be shocked

Awful bank. Arrived 10 mins before shutting and the ladies inside had locked the door and waved me away stating they were closed. Then left at 5:05pm. I wouldn?t mind, other than I had left work to rush there to put money in and they closed early. All I wanted to do was use the machine to put cash in the bank. No need for them to do anything. Lazy and very unprofessional.

Unbelievably bad service. We needed verification of our personal documents as part of our mortgage application and they refused "because they don't do it".Get a mortgage at a more sensible bank that doesn't give you this nonsense.

That?s the best bank I have been!!!!!From the time that I arrived was easy to realise that I made a absolutely right choice.The staff are very professionals also extremely polite,making sure that all the clients are seriously attending and no leaving with doubts.Make a huge difference when you are leading with serious people,well trained to attend the costumers.The atmosphere is great,all around very tidy and clean.Everything works properly like should be.

Some members of staff are polite and offer good but not great customer service. There are a few staff members that just stand at the front of the Bank gossiping and laughing louder than a hyenas. Not a great experience all round. I am a very regular customer to the branch and on many occasions the staff stand around laughing it almost feels that they are laughing at me, makes me feel very uncomfortable. It is very unprofessional.

horrible customer service, I had my identity stolen by a staff member and took out a halifax credit card in my name nobody from the bank treated the complaint seriously even when it came out that this had happened to several customers.
