This is the second time I?ve been to this store and feel embarrassed 1.st time was went for my flu jab and explain I am allowed to have it free to be look at and told no I am not. But today 06/06/2025 around 12 0?clock by a young male behind the till went to get my lunch to be told I can not pay with a 2015 £1 coin but my 2016 £1 I can with a few people around and to be question like that. I said you are allowed to except those coins to be told no we?re not allowed to expect that coin have you got another coin? I explain I brought out the correct amount of money and I don?t. I was so embarrassed and in shock I just said could I have the over money back and I?ll leave and won?t have my lunch. This store is the only store/ boots that behave like this to be judge embarrassment and to be treated like this is shamefully and should not happen.

The pharmacy is shut from 1pm-2pm ever day
This is not advertised on there website
And for online collection for people that work is very inconvenient

Absolute waste of retail space and barely ever have any decent stock. Went into store yesterday clearly waiting in the queue, male staff member proceeded to serve another customer who blatantly skipped the queue. The male staff member claimed to ?not have seen me there? which was a load of crap. Will be taking myself to the Roaring Meg branch where they actually have stock, are much nicer and won?t pretend to ?not see me?.

This lady at the pharmacy was so rude (also on the phone with other customers). She clearly didn't want to be there. I went at 9am nobody was in and I had to wait 20 min to get my medicine. Unbelievably slow.

Racists. The security was behind me all the time like I am there to shop lift. I was the only coloured person at the store that moment. Felt really uncomfortable.
I asked at the till to pay with credit in my boots card(I've had 16 pounds in the boots card)and the guy refused to do so saying lame excuses

I can never find anything in Boots. I gave up after 5 minutes and went next door to Superdrug and got what I want.

today I went into the store with my dad and we went to checkout and the employee had made a mistake with one of the items and had charged £13 extra. my dad was trying to explain it to her but she didn?t understand so she got, im assuming her supervisor, and we tried to sort it out but the supervisor was being disrespectful, rolling her eyes, and being impatient with my dad who struggles with English and took advantage of that. then my dad asked to return 2 of the items because they had charged extra and gave back the wrong change, my dad tried to explain this to her but she wasn?t accepting the mistake she made. then my dad said he wanted to return all of it due to the disrespect and she gave back the wrong change again my dad said to her she?d given the wrong change but she again said she didn?t. she then counted again and gave my dad the correct amount of change.

Came in looking for perfume, the lady was really helpful and recommended ones I might like based on my favourite (discontinued). She even made a note on the samples so I could remember which I liked. Service I would expect from John Lewis or a perfume store, but definitely more than I expected from Boots!Only knocked one star off because the staff when I came back later were less helpful, and it was tricky to find someone for the perfume section.

Have you faced prejudice due to your disability in the workplace and hate to take any time off because of it? Do you rely on regular medication to be able to contribute to society? Is mobility an issue for you because of your disability? Be assured this pharmacy will do everything it can to contribute to the above issues. Apart from only opening 1950 style hours of 9-5 they seem to have multiple lunch breaks throughout the day as they seem permanently closed but if you do manage to find a time when they are actually working you will have to make return trips anyway because they will not be fully stocked, you will never receive a notification from them your medication is ready (technology hasn't reached this 1950s pharmacy) and if the government is hoping to move doctors powers to pharmacists I strongly suggest there could be a significant rise in health issues in the area if we rely on this place.

Amazing selection of products. Staff helpful and friendly.Chemist takes up to 30 mins to dispense prescriptions.Be aware that the chemist is shut between 1pm and 2pm every day
