I love the fishes and the staff are very helpful. Also the best selection of books of any Waterstones stores I?ve visited.

I was here to meet a friend for conversation and beverages, though could not resist browsing the books too.
Waterstones feels like an intelligent-but-no-pressure place to be, which feels good. It's relaxed and has chill vibes. The service behind the till is a little slow, but I guess they're slaves to the coffee making machines.

WiFi doesn't work on my VPN, clearly more interested in selling your data than protecting your privacy. Otherwise not bad.

The St Albans book shop is reasonably good for its size.

very unhappy. the shop and books itself are fine but what isn?t fine is the poor, suffering, dying fish at the back. if you?re going to buy animals just to capitalise and profit off, and just to entertain kids (fish aren?t toys regardless) then at least take care of them to a suitable degree. upon questioning a worker on the decrepit and dark, dirty conditions of the tank, the worker basically told me other locations to see fish, and heavily implied the issue wouldn?t be solved any time soon. she said it was because they work 7 days a week and they?d have to close the section off - go on then? this is not good enough. it?s not hard to buy a £20 new filter off ebay or amazon and take 30 minutes out of one?s day to change it and change some of the murky water.
pls save the fish ???

Nice place to stop off at for a cup of coffee while book shopping. The pastry area had a small but nice selection of items and the menu is on the small- medium size drinks wise However this is made up for by the service. I found the staff to be very polite on my visit and that made the experience far more pleasurable. I wouldn?t go here if I wasn?t going to Waterstones but if I am going in I?m sure to stop by.

It is a nice bookshop, the cafe is small and nice.

Well stocked sizable bookshop. A little bit difficult to find new authors among the celebrity releases. Nice café - and you can earn Waterstone's points drinking coffee and eating cake!

Relaxed atmosphere. Civilised (not noisy) ambience. A great place for a contemplative coffee.

A most enjoyable cafe with nice coffee and good service. Good comfortable seats and plenty of reading material.
