Up until now I have been happy with Specsavers St Albans but my recent experience has been poor. I noticed amongst your reviews that another customer had a similar experience. I regularly have new glasses as I work with computers and get my eyes tested every 2 years. This time, despite telling the optician that I worked on a computer and I needed antiglare for one pair, I ended up with two pairs that were only suitable for reading. I queried this only after experiencing the frustration when working on the computer for a long period and finding it strange I did not have the depth of vision I had with my older pairs. As the 100 day period had passed they would only offer to resolve the problem if I paid a further £69.99. A waste of my money and time to get a new pair in the first place. The 100 day limit is not clearly stated when you purchase and it should be.

Visited St. Albans Specsavers today with my 3 month old baby, which was not planned. I could not speak any more highly of the staff. They were kind, helpful and very supportive (even offering to hold the baby to allow my appointment to go ahead). Experience was made with the warmth shown by all. Thank you.

Truly excellent optician service, and I have found this to be the case time and time again with the opticians at St Albans Specsavers. Excellent equipment. Excellent staff.

Very friendly staff & usually good opticians but I only had one issue when one of the opticians I saw didn't give me the full results of my eye test. I requested a retest & the next optician a week later highlighted that I have to have a procedure to one of my eyes which I should have been told about on my previous test. So not a good recommendation if you have a problem with your eyes & you are not told about it.

I have been a customer of Specsavers for over 20 years and during the whole of that I have been 100% happy with every single aspect of their service, both for glasses and contact lenses. The product is good, the price is right, and the staff are all 10/10.

Visited the store today to purchase a magnifier for my father. Outstanding service all round. The young lady who helped us ?Alisa? was very professional and exceedingly helpful!! My dad was singing her praises!! Thanks again SS ?

I attended the St Albans branch for a post-cataract operation check-up. During my visit, I had interactions with four staff members. I cannot fault any of them for their friendly and attentive professionalism. A thoroughly deserved five stars from me!

I am not a specsavers customer however I had travelled south for a family wedding and left home without contact lenses. This store went over and above to help, fitting me in just before closing time to ensure I could get contact lenses to drive home safely. Thank you to this specsavers team they were all fantastic.

Very good service. I returned a pair of glasses as I didn't get on with them. They sorted me out to exchange for a more suitable pair without any fuss at all. Kush in particular is very good, patient and helpful. Thank you.

Been using Specsavers for year but not anymore. I went in March 2023, was away for a period of time, and on my last visit was asked if I use computers for work which I said "Yes". They prescribed me glass which made the screens blurred and after a little while gave me migraines because eyes were straining more than they should do.They wanted me to make an appointment and take the glasses to them but as very busy at work and at present do not have the time. I posted the glasses to them, at my expenses as had to send recorded, and have now told me the 100 day return policy has expired, which they have never told me existed, the glass were also only worn once, and can go and collected them. The only place these glasses need to go is the bin.Am totally disgusted they have taken over £200.00 off me which is hard earned money because if some stupid policy. From now on I will go to Vision Express, where I went for many years, and never had any issues and would not treat customers like this.
