Had multifocal lenses put in to correct reading and one eye's distance issues. Optical Express calculated a brilliant compromise and now I don't need glasses for anything, with better than 20/20 vision. I just think a better explanation of the lenses operation would be helpful, i.e, they'll shred your natural, muscle focussed lenses and stick immovable, unbendable lenses in, so they won't be 'perfect', but they'll be damn good. (No fixed lens can be designed to focus really close and really far at the same time). Otherwise the pre-op assessments and post op care are brilliant and I would highly recommend. The 2 year interest free payment scheme helps too :-)

Impressed with the Time and Care taken by all staff members, Post Op issue, I was able to be seen directly without an appointment and extra medication was provided without charge. I would recommend highly this service to others.

Not happy at all the prices online say £595 or £1495 yet I get quoted £2500 per eye my friend had similar prescription and astigmatism as me and he got the basic one £595 but back then was £395 around 11 years ago so don't be fooled by the prices you see online when you get there they can just come up with crazy prices like 5k I got I have now found another plus better reviews and fair prices

Very excited to have this procedure, I was very well looked after the moment I arrived at Milton Keynes, Surgeon explained all to me and made me very relaxed?took ten mins rt eye and eight mins left, no pain or discomfort at first but now have a PCO/Haizy in left eye which is being corrected on the 9th April.

Having had my initial consultation at the St Albans clinic where the wonderful manager Sue took me through the whole process and allayed my fears, I bit the bullet and booked myself in for bi-lateral multifocal lens replacement. From start to finish, the whole experience was seamless and the follow-up exceptional. I should also mention that I now have 'better than 20/20 vision' so glasses are a thing of the past - for me , it's nothing short of a miracle and I just wish I had done it years ago! I previously had vision correction treatment by another provider around 15 years ago and it needed re treatment. I needed glasses for reading and my distance vision was on the limit for driving.
Optical express recommended lens replacement in both eyes.
The lens replacement procedure was quick with only mild discomfort for a few days.
The care and attention provided by Optical Express was faultless. The only downside being my recovery time due to minor issues with the back of my eyes, which took time to settle. But was continually monitored and treated by Optical Express.
Once these issues eventually resolved and eyes were OK for a final sight check, Optical Express recommended two minor enhancements that were included in the original price.
Again, in my individual case, the healing and settling process took longer than expected, but was again thoroughly monitored and checked by the Optical Express team.
The final result was better than both I or the Optical Express team expected. I now have slightly better than 20:20 vision and no longer need reading glasses, even for really tiny print.
The length of the healing, which was peculiar to me, was frustrating, but at no time did I need glasses for driving/distance vision. The care and support from Optical Express was excellent and I?m more than pleased with the final result.
Would I recommend lens replacement??..Yes.
Would I recommend Optical Express??. Yes and without any doubt.

I tell everyone I know not to use Optical Express for laser eye surgery. Never told me that my corneas were too thin to have a top up, so spent 4k and never got 20/20 vision. Every time I complained they would just send a copy of the terms and conditions I signed - despite the fact they hid information from me. Disgraceful customer service.

I arrived half an hour early. But the bonus here was that I was seen early. The lovely Heidi put me through a brief questionnaire and then I was seen by Swati, the ophthalmologist. Swati was very helpful and knowledgeable and answered all of my hundreds of questions. I never knew eyes were so fascinating. Paid my deposit, and was then back on the street withing 1.5 hours.
If you have any questions about your eyes then Swati is the lady to see
