Went into the St Albans branch on 14th Feb to enquire about how to close one of my current accounts and transfer DDs to the other. The branch said they would do it and I didn?t have to do anything which I thought was a great service until I called HO today to chase and they said it hadn?t been done. Very disappointing especially as they are charging me for that account and I will have to make another payment due to them not doing as they promised. I will leave another (hopefully positive) review once they have done their part.

Totally robotic! Quick enough to palm you off onto an iPad rather than actually engage with you as human beings.
Felt totally worthless as a customer, resulting in looking at moving to another place to hold my accounts.

Congratulations to the staff at the NBS St.Albans branch. I recently needed advice and Tenzin Lama gave me excellent service explaining things in a very polite ande simple manor. How refreshing this is, compared to the many other public services we have to deal with on a daily basis.

I'm thoroughly impressed with this bank?it truly meets and exceeds all the expectations one might have from a financial institution. It's not only safe and efficient, but also remarkably prompt in processing insurance claims. The staff here, particularly Tenzin, are incredibly professional, supportive and patient. As a newcomer to the UK, I visited several banks in the area, and this was the only one that went out of its way to assist me upon my arrival, resolving any payment issues with remarkable efficiency. A heartfelt thank you to Tenzin for his professional and patient assistance during my transition. Highly recommended!

I recently needed to draw a cheque to repay my son who had helped me make a purchase using his bank transfer facility. At 4pm my own Barclays branch had already closed whereas N/wide next door was still open. As soon as I entered I was greeted by an extrememly pleasant and efficient cashier who made up my passbook with interest and issued me with the required cheque.That service was greatly appreciated, thank you.

I have previously written a personal review to the branch directly, but have now been asked to write one on the Google page. As it?s the Christmas period I will be brief !My experience of arranging the transfer of my current account to Nationwide was a very good experience following my attempts at ?on-line? efforts. However, I had to revert to speaking to a very helpful member of staff, who talked my through the technical parts of the application form. I was given the telephone number of a person at HQ. who should have been able to set up my switch, but proved totally unable, hence the need to speak with a knowledgeable member of staff at this branch who could talk me through from memory?..!Now comes the challenge of plastic cards and PIN numbers??watch this space ! I?ve only recently switched from a competing bank after 60 years and needed to pay an invoice. The St Albans branch were so helpful in patiently going through and deleting out of date instructions to my former bank and making the payment. I was very impressed. I?ve already received £200 into my current account for making the switch. It has enabled me to get annual travel insurance, no longer offered by my former bank.

Nationwide is always exceptional helpful and I am delighted to have been a customer for decades. I think that there is a design fault when trying to make a payment to the same payee , but for a different reason, as this reason can't be amended. The St Albans branch were superb, in helping me to resolve this and make a business payment, which would have seemed bizarre otherwise . Many thanks. .
