This place delivers a sorry excuse for Moroccan food. We ordered vegetable and harrira soup. the vegetable soup was insipid. the harrira soup was almost ok. both were edible but thats it. we then had one chicken tagine and one lamb tagine. both were very bland and more or less the same sauce. the chicken was flavorless. the lamb was nothing special. both were served with lots of hard peas and chunks of carrot. these tagine would get the chefs arrested in Morocco for false advertising. without any doubt the most tasteless I have ever eaten. they were served with instant couscous on the side with no harrisa sauce. fresh herbs were invisible.

A very disappointing experience starting from incredibly slow service. I was waiting 20 minutes for a starter which was basically falafel with salad. After another 15 minutes my main has arrived however I did not have any cutlery. I have asked the waiter for a fork and he just grabbed one from a table where two ladies were sitting and waiting for their food. (It was noticeable that during at least 20 minutes they were there they haven't even received their drinks). The food (veggie tagine) was lacking flavour, the portion was rather on a small side taking into account the price and the lack of a side included. There is also a service charge added to the bill at the end and even though it does not say it anywhere in the menu or in the restaurant, the waiter has claimed it to be obligatory. I believe that there are many nicer places to go in St Albans with better customer service and tastier food.

We booked for 6.30 arrived at 6.42 told on arrival they thought we weren't coming. Wr were aware of our table (time) allocation when we made the booking. I was "handled" ie gently pushed inside to our table hand on shoulder then on lower back. At 7.30 bill came and we were told too late for dessert / coffee. Also, never been treated with such inconvenience as if they were us a favour. Never going back. Awful experience on a rare date night.

While the food is delicious and we have been here when it?s not busy, we regret going on a busy evening like tonight. We were seated basically in the walk way and on top of people?s head, eventually felt too overwhelmed so decided to leave. When we explained that we didn?t really like our seating and will come back another time, not even an apology was issued just a ?ok? and shrugged up of. The obvious fact that they tried their best to squeeze us in rather than explaining they are fully booked and seat us somewhere better for our comfort?

The WORST service EVER!
The food is mediocre at its best.
Only go there if you are willing to wait for half an hour before you're even GIVEN A MENU. The food is so so so not worth the wait and is bland and has no flavouring. Definitely not traditional morrocan flavourings, no proper spices. Just super oil peppers and onions I'm everything. You also have to wait another half hour for the bill.
Not for kids neither. Unless chips is all they will be having!

We had lunch here on Saturday I had falafel as starter it was very dry and not fresh I didn't finish it I don't recommend it. But I had lamb for main dish, and my friend had Berber,main courses were great, the waiters was very kind and lovely.she brought me a salad instead of falafel, even though I didn't order, and she didn't charge me for the service and drink to keep me happy, she looked after us! I will be back because of nice food and great service

Amazing, cosy place with Marrakesh atmosphere. The menu is great, the portions are huge. And this place is always full of customers, what means that the place is very popular! The service is great, quick and stuff' s advice is very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful place ! The food was delicious, love the deco, feels like you are literally in little Marrakech. Fantastic service with a smile ! Thank you , we had a lovely evening and will be back .
