Everyone is helpful and friendly and there's a wide range of people who use the facilities. Parking is good and there's a beautiful park across the road you can look out at or take a nice walk in.”

“If you are looking for a gym that will challenge you in every possible way, look no further than Nuffield St Albans. You will be amazed by the variety of broken lockers, partially working and old equipment, some users say is allegedly dating from the Victorian era. I can't verify, take it with a pinch of salt. You will never get bored of trying to find a working treadmill. And if you forget to bring a towel, they no longer offer them. You will enjoy the real sauna they have, but even more so the natural sauna that is the exercise area, where the temperature is usually subtropical. And if you need to cool down, just jump into the pool, where the water is a refreshingly cold (provided it is open). Trust me, this gym is the best thing that ever happened to your fitness goals: if you remain a member for longer than 6 months you are a true fitness fanatic. On the serious note, I am soon starting a fund raiser, to help them with renovations, watch this space.”
