“I have been into the St Albans store just a couple of times. The staff in there are so helpful and not at all pushy. I didn't purchase anything on my first visit and wasn't made to feel at all intimidated . I purchased 2 pairs of trousers on my second visit and as mentioned the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble in fetching me different sizes.

“Don't visit often, only gripe is they rarely have Large (above 38/40in) trousers for men, yes you can get online but some people like to See/Feel the quality before purchasing .... staff friendly & helpful. Huge car park.”

“My go-to for camping and outdoor gear in St Albans. It’s quite a small store but has plenty of stock and has all the essentials you need. A few reviews have commented on staff rudeness but I’ve found everyone to be friendly and helpful without any pushy sales tactics. One observation is that the place always seems to be on sale or “closing down”. I’m told the current “closing down” is to rebrand as GO Outdoors (both brands are owned by JD Sports).”

“I went in the store yesterday to have my my 15 half month olds feet measured there was to really really lovely ladies on the shop floor. They were amazing with my little one who loved the shop and were so helpful one lady had blue hair soon to be purple today and other lady had blonde hair. “Works well if you need to pick something up whilst doing your shopping. Other than that, they need to bring back the larger stores.
Having personally worked for this store in particular when it first opened, I can see it has massively dropped. Whenever I shop in there/collect something, there are either too many staff standing round chatting/on their phones or no one to be seen at all.
Glad they’ve finally installed a small bench for customers if they need a seat whilst in there. Don’t agree with the cash registers being in the middle of the shop floor, where you can be easily surrounded by customers.”
