Beautiful pub in the heart of Hertfordshire, good sized bar with outside seating, very happy staff and service. Handy for those with an eye for history, close to a WW2 airfield.

Really disappointing experience. Started well, nice room, starters were nice. The main courses were awful. Soggy fish and chips, the ribeye steaks were unseasoned lumps served with about 10 fries (£28!?). The Woodman Inn provides great food, well-kept beers, interesting wines and spirits, a relaxed family and pet friendly atmosphere and a focus on supporting our local community. All of the things a country pub should be!
Two huge beer gardens with a playground and a sheltered decking area. Two letting rooms, outside bar (summer only) and is licensed for wedding ceremonies - ask for more details.
