I cannot thank the team enough for allowing us to take over the Old Post Van for our 5 year olds birthday party! Attentive service, helpful when we needed it, and Evie and Karen were really complementary about how well our group of 6 boys behaved. We had a great time with great food and I would not hesitate to book for a similar event again. Thanks so much Jolly Postie team!!!

Portion size was absolutely tiny, chicken was dry, waited an hour to receive the main of Mac and cheese only to see it's 1 1/2 side dishes (could of ordered the dish as sides and save a few £ and got more food)
The manager was very rude about it too. Very unfortunate as we eat here twice a week but it has gone very downhill.
Would avoid if your after a good meal.

Great local pub. Lots of choice, food and drink. Cosy fire. Dogs welcome, but kept to a specific area.

Sadly the only great thing was the lovely lady who served us. Half the menu was unavailable, its was 6.30 pm on a Sunday, no roasts left, no pasta, only one of the chicken dishes.The starter took 45 minutes to arrive apparently because it was being freshly cooked, the only thing that was cooked was the cheese sauce in the very large bowl surrounded by not so many nachos. The main meals took nearly as long with fries fried until they were hard and cold. The mixed grill wasn't great. A disappointing meal out.

Menu to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. Cleanliness well maintained between sittings. Staff very friendly , attentive and seem conscientious and to enjoy their work. This contributes to the lovely atmosphere of the place. Comfortable yet lively . Can?t fault the food. Recently we have been served by Honey, whose genuine bright and friendly nature and helpfulness regarding menu information is much appreciated. A very good dining experience all round.
Vegetarian options: As a chicken and grill venue it still offers several vegetarian and vegan meals. Labelling on menu clear, items can be swapped around to suit . Roast is great.

We found the food to be really low quality . The steak and ale pie was so hard that you needed tools to cut it the chips are cheap frozen type floating in gooey gravy overcooked veg.
Nice environment but wouldn't recommend for food.
