Disappointing experience marked by excessive delays and substandard food.
After waiting over 90 minutes, the roast beef was served dry, overcooked, and heavily seasoned, while the risotto was burnt.

We waited for over an hour before anyone attended to us, and I eventually had to fetch a menu myself. The lack of service was disappointing, and unfortunately, the food did not make up for it.
As someone working in the industry, I found the quality far below expectations: The lamb shank was dry and unpleasant in texture, the burger was burnt, the Sunday roast sirloin, which should have been served pink, arrived well-done and overly dry, the Yorkshire puddings were dense and super dry, lacking the lightness they should have.
Overall, it was a very poor dining experience for my family and me. With better attention to service and food standards, this place could improve significantly, but as it stands, I would not recommend it.

Sadly, our visit to The Red House was very underwhelming. Our meals took 1.5 hours to arrive, which was difficult with children in tow, and the only alternative seating offered was in the smoking area. When the food eventually came it was disappointing - the risotto even had burnt bits. Such a shame, as we were hoping for a straightforward, family-friendly meal, but we left feeling rather let down...

It?s such a shame how this place has slowly got worse and worse.
Used to love the place especially when they sold the posher menu. The food was always decent for the money.
Now the last couple time we have gone the food has been so overcooked or left under heat lamps which drys everything out.
Seems to be a lack of staff these days.
A real shame as it?s walking distance or really handy if coming back on the tube.

I went qith my friend for the first time and he ordered the Steak and ale pie, and I had gammon. We weee so excited, but disappointed as his pie barely had any steal bits in it. 3 measly chunks was all in it and the rest was sauce and pastry.
The service was just ok. Seems the girl waant too interested to serve us on a quiet day?

Had a lovely meal at the Rehouse, food was great but the service was even better . Hollee made us feel welcome and nothing was too much hope we get Hollee again next time we visit .

Friendliest pub/restaurant in Croxley. Always get a greeting and a smile. Service is quick even when busy. Always have my kids birthdays here as they love it.

Not my first time here at the red house wasn't very impressed ordered the steak and ale pie with mashed potato and veg the pie was very dry more pastry than meat two tiny pieces of brocoli very disappointing red house can't say I will be visiting here any time soon

Lovely local pub.
I always enjoy visiting the Red House for the warm and friendly greetings we receive from Dee, Nikki and the team. They always make a fuss of the grandkids and dogs.
Aside from a wide selection of drinks and food, the pub also offers a wide choice of games suitable for all ages.

I came with my husband for ABBA night tribute. Our meals were absolutely gorgeous ( lamb shank and beef bourguignon), served on time, hot and fresh. The night was lovely, good music and dance. The Red House should organise more nights like this. AMAZING!!!

Hello. We just popped in for lunch. A quiet and tidy pub. Plenty of tables and space to dine. We ordered from the menu Chicken Hunter and Mushroom ale pie with drinks. Whilst a limited vegetarian menu, the staff were helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. The venue was clean and not noisy at all. We could have a conversation without raising our voices. A very pleasant atmosphere. We will return. Thank you.

The weekly pub quiz on Thursday is well worth going to. Great staff and the quiz host is excellent. Great all round pub!
