VERY DECEPTIVE - WASTE OF TIME & MONEYAgreed on a forward order, exchange rate kept hitting the target rate repeatedly but Currency Index kept stating it did not reach the target. What they were meant to say is it did not reach their desired profit margin!So I waited for it to hit their desired profit margin, market then went down so I reduced the target rate. Again repeatedly the exchange rate kept reaching the target, yet again their profit margin was not to their liking. Cancelled the forward order and a few days later put another forward order this time considerably lower. I'm sure now you understand Currency Index's business model.... I didn't bother this time so cancelled it all together and used TransferWise instead. Got a good deal right away and didn't have to wait.Only to learn the market was recovering to the original rate I started with Currency Index, three weeks ago!All throughout this boring endeavour, the agent kept calling me throughout the day to mention the market has gone down, like I don't understand the foreign exchange market!This is a declining industry and only business offering the market rate who charge a small fee are actually giving the best deals like Transfer Wise.Currency Index must be ripping off thousands of business like mine who make regular payments as they tie you in like there are no options and use words like 'how many companies will you ask to get a good rate' well, the answer is one, TransferWise. Despite their small fee, you actually get a good deal each and every time and they do have regular payments services worldwide.In summary: wasted timed, made a loss on the currency and made my suppliers angry.

Have used Currency Index for the last 5 years for all my international payments. They always provide a better rate than my bank and are efficient and professional and very easy to deal with. I would highly recommend them.

We have been transferring euros through Currency Index for many years now and find the service second to none!The team are always very friendly and helpful, the transfer is immediate and reliable with an excellent exchange rate, no issues, no problems.Before choosing Currency Index I contacted several other providers as I was new to this market. I have been a client of Currency Index since 2010 and in that time made over 40 spot and forward transactions; the rates of which I have always been happy with. The process has always been seamless and prompt with excellent customer service. Additionally the Currency Index team has always been prepared to accommodate more complex requests and advised me through the process.

Once Currency Index have your overseas account numbers all it takes is a phonecall to your personal account manager. A quick look at the prevailing exchange rate - in my case Euros, and agree it. Then all he needs to know is how much you want to send. I usually have a Sterling figure in mind which is then instantly translated to a figure in Euros (minus Currency Index's small fee for their professional services)Then you simply transfer online the sterling amount you agreed to their account which you will have set up on your online banking site for even speedier transfers in the future.No form filling, no passwords no memory tests.Your personal account manager will greet you like an old friend and the whole transaction couldn't possibly take more than a couple of minutes. Couldn't be simpler and as a pensioner, simple suits me.

Currency Index offer a very efficient and competitive service. I have never had a problem in the 6 months I have used them and have so far carried out several transfers of between £1,500-£250,000 to Euros and over to Portuguese bank accounts. I would highly recommend them.

As a UK citizen now domiciled in Thailand, I was getting ripped off by my UK bank to the tune of 5% per withdrawal, using my debit card in Thai ATM's.To circumnavigate their excessive charges, I started taking my card into my Thai bank and transferring money across for a one off fee.of £6.50 It wasn't long before they twigged it and started adding an additional 2.9% Foreign Transfer fee to my account.I was then recommended CI by a friend who is cruise liner's, cruise director and he said he had used many companies but found CI to be by far, the best.I signed up and now incur a £10.00 flat fee plus a 2.5 / 3% shave on the current interest rate.As a comparison, a friend recently told me that my UK bank offers a Foreign Transfer facility so we logged on and compared the two. Same £10.00 flat fee but they shave 3% off the current rate.No thank you.I am sticking to CI as once the funds are transferred from my bank to their account, transfer is only an email away and at a far more competitive rate.Simon Eastman and CI are first class act and I cannot recommend them highly enough.A superb service.

I have been using Currency Index for frequent transfers to various countries for over 5 years and cannot recommend this team - especially Robin Haynes, more highly. Their response time is consistently excellent on all transfers, as well as inquiries whether by phone or email, and it would be hard to find better rates.

He has always made the process of money transfer simple, fast and has obtained really good rates for me on a buy now basis. I would say you should try these FIRST I have looked at others but I have found these guys the best. .

This is a great service and I've used it on many occasions, saving a lot on what a bank would charge and feeling very looked after by Simon and the team throughout the process. The only thing one must keep ahead of is the new money laundering regulations from the outset, which mean that you need to provide lots of proofs of id, address, the purpose of the transfer etc, if yours are not sufficient your transaction can be held up for days.
