Basically a scam - chicken which game was either completely inedible or I thought was prawns who knows
The beef was clearly just fat covered in sauce to cover this up, again probably inedible
The noodles you could eat but very bland and similar to having a pot noodle
Definitely not right considering what you pay and is nothing like an authentic chinese

Our lovely local was closed tonight so tried this Chinese & placed an order for delivery.
It was very expensive but we hoped the price might reflect a high standard of food, we were wrong!
The food was disgusting, tasteless, gloopy & unrecognisable to any Chinese food we?ve had from any takeout or restaurant previously. We have no idea if we received what we ordered as it didn?t resemble any of the dishes we expected. Each dish was either tasteless, looked & tasted old & dry, very oddly gloopy & sickly, unsure of the meat within, full of chillies or just horrid in every way.
Wish we had checked the reviews before ordering. 4 out of 5 of us couldn?t eat the food the other 1 ate some & then felt ill?
We paid cash on delivery, don?t hold out any hope for reimbursement?.

Ordered via Deliveroo without seeing all the bad reviews here. The food we received was tasty and fresh, if only I could criticise anything, then I would say the fried rice had a slight burnt wok taste to it. Otherwise we really enjoyed it, especially the dim sum. Has the ownership changed since the last reviews?

Always order from here, after last night never again, every dish was inedible. Egg fried rice way too salty, bbq spare ribs pork was tough, and inedible, I ordered crispy shezion chicken, and chicken dish was more like chicken in black bean, the sauce was slimy and not very nice at all, chicken balls where over cooked to the point you couldn?t bite into them. Very disappointing? Avoid ! Avoid avoid .

Take away order took 2 hours to arrive, when it did the food was cold and missing items. When calling the restaurant to resolve was informed that they were busy and could give a discount for future orders. Refused to refund missing items and to provide any compensation for delay and inedible food. Awful - do not use ever!

Never again! I ordered sweet and sour chicken and kung po and we couldn't eat them.They tasted disgusting and left us both unwell.

Rude rude service. And they messed up our chow mein (ordered chicken and got beef) and they wouldn't reimburse or fix.

I decided to treat myself and my child to a meal at home, but it was not to be. The delivery was 45 minutes late, and the noodles were on top of chili peppers, although chili peppers were not in the description of the dish on the menu.When I asked why there was so much pepper, the waiter gave me a stupid answer: it was just a little pepper sauce, although I pulled out a lot of chopped red chili peppers from the dish. The dish was impossible to eat!
And the beef meet I ordered was old and smelly cooked in some kind of slime-like substance! Pak Chou was bitter because it was cooked incorrectly!
It's a shame, wasted money, wasted time. And it's a shame that when you expect professional service, the other end of the line is talking such nonsense that you don't want to order from restaurants ever again!

After waiting for 1 hour and 10 minutes for our food to arrive we had high expectations wrongly thinking that Paya would have been beavering away cooking our food from scratch. How disappointed we were. My wife ordered Peppercorn Salt Tofu and I had it with chicken. Both were re-fried and dried out layered in almost raw onions and carrots. I had the Chicken in Black Bean Sauce which was tasteless and gloopy, like they had just thickened a watery sauce with cornflower. My wife?s Szechuan Stir Fry Tofu was again tasteless and floating in almost raw vegetables as was her Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables. Now, I?m no Ken Hom but believe me I know how few ingredients go into making a takeaway Chow Mein Chicken. In my 60 years on this planet I had never had a bad Chow Mein until last night. Raw carrots, raw onions, tasteless and a pointless game of spot the chicken. My Pork Ribs in Sweet Peking Sauce were small, bite size lumps of gristle that resembled ribs in the same way a pebble resembles the white cliffs of Dover. In fact the only two edible items on our £70+ bill were the Crispy Vegetable Rolls and the Egg Fried Rice. In the past we?ve always received a bag of prawn crackers but not this time. We have been ordering from Paya for almost 10 years but will never do so again.
