Short staffed but food was nice

Awful food and service was really poor. Couple of dishes unavailable and that was at 13.30. Salad bar is very limited to how it used to be. Ordered Sirloin Steak medium rare and turned up almost well done. Fed this to my German shepherd who struggled to chew it. Hard to get staff attention. Burger was just a clump of unseasoned mince with soft onion rings and a manky hash brown. Chips looked like they had been sat under a heat lamp for a couple of hours. Will not be returning to this Harvester or any other if that's the standard of food they offer.

Great waiters. Foods gone down hill in this restaurant. Horrible salad bar never an adequate amount and never fresh. We won't be back!

Have not been to a harvester for many years but were looking forward to their ribs we decided on the lunch menu but that day did not have ribs had the burger nice but nit ribs also surprised as salad bar less options than memories on the whole nice but disappointing

Lack of organisational skills
Get to my booking early had to wait because they were short staffed. Fine.
Wait 40 mins and then for them to tell it?s not suitable for the 2 high chairs booked with the table? regular that won?t be coming back.

Friendly staff, decent food for kids. Nice salad bar.... Probably stick with that and skip the main next time!! Never seem to be enough staff on though

The lady who seated us was a bit rude. Asking if I had a reservation when it was half empty on a tuesday lunchtime. People came after us and just seated themselves. Seated us at the worst tables in the entire restaurant. The darkest part of the restaurant, tables weren't even level. Server was friendly and helpful (his name was luke)

We booked a table for eight people for this evening for my mother?s 86th birthday.
Last minute we had an additional guest so when we turned up, we informed them that there would be nine of us, the lady behind the desk whose name I believe is Catherine and a manager there, brusquely informed me they were full and there was only that table, she then said you might be able to squeeze round it.
My sister arrived a few minutes later and was told the same in the same manner, then telling us there aren?t any extra chairs and when one was found it was not a proper dining chair but lower than the rest.
Her attitude was not at all friendly or helpful.
This was a special occasion and we have been to Harvesters for many birthdays/anniversaries as my mother likes it here.
It?s been a difficult time for our family and this was meant to be a high point in the calendar with one family member making an effort to drive 90 minutes one way for the occasion.
I?m just upset that there was such indifference and a lack of care, no apology, no I?ll see what I can do, just brusque and unfriendly and we didn?t feel taken care of, or valued in any way.
It was a bit tight around the table but as that was the situation we made do, but her behaviour soured the experience.
In contrast, our server Louisa was a delight, friendly, pleasant and helpful, despite serving many large parties and being run off her feet.

Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Rahim was serving us and was friendly and very helpful. The food was served quickly it was hot and cooked to perfection.
Thank you, we will return and recommend.

Food was the best it's ever tasted (apart from the ribs) I guess because it was quieter this day the food quality seemed better although the ribs were a bit flavourless and tasted weird. The service was a bit slow because it seemed the server was on his own, he was doing a great job it just seemed he was the only person for quite a few tables so getting service wasn't easy.
