I waited 5 days to pay in a cheque this Wednesday morning. I really wanted to be out early in the morning, but I waited so that I could go to the bank. So I stayed home until 10.20 and then went to the 'bank'. I turned up at 10.30 to avoid the queues I had read about. It was difficult to locate the 'bank' even though I could see the Barclay's flag. I eventually asked at the theatre reception. They said to look in the corner of the cafe. I did this. No Barclay's anywhere. I then asked in the office. I was told that Barclay's had not turned up yet and that this was very bad form because it made them look bad too. I decided to wait to see if Barclays would turn up. I had a coffee and did my crossword until 11.00. Still no Barclays. I gave to eventually and went home. What a farce! I may just go to Welwyn Garden tomorrow. I have been banking with Barclays for about 40 years and I never thought it could come to this.

Long queues, staff really disinterested except one lady, machine useless as I need to pay in and most of the time doesn?t take all my notes so then I have to queue anyway and staff doesn?t exactly work fast to help to get the queue down... there could be much more done even during Covid to get the clients served faster and with a smile!!

I pay in money every week and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There just isnâ??t enough of them, sometimes I have to wait up to 30 minutes to be seen. The machines are useless if you want to pay in coins like I do. Itâ??s all just very very slow.

Went there to close my business bank account that I opened there as well. A lady told me that there are no possible booking to do that and to send a letter myself to do all the process. I asked to suggest a branch where I can close the account, answer: "Sorry I do not have access to a machine at the moment and cannot check this with you". Non existent customer service from the branch as I called Barclays, explained what I needed to do and they did it for my via phone.

has to be the worst bank i have ever used,staff at times can be very blunt and kind of snappish,i go to pay in money and am told not asked why do i not put in ,in an envelope,i have tried this before and does not show up on my account until the next day,i need it to show on my account straight away so i can pay my bills,if i am late paying my bills i am charged,oh and have sent my daughter in to bank money for me for her to be told on numerous times,if you don't bank here we should not take the money but will do you a favour this time,bloody stupid,this after standing in a queue
for the best part of 45 minutes sometimes an hour,what has the world come too.have banked with barclays over 40years but am seriously thinking about moving elsewhere,then the aggro of changing all my direct debits,so stuck at this time.

what a rubbish bank, have been in twice now with me ederly mother to order bank statements for her as hers just stop coming, still have not got them 2 months now ..... just called head office they could not help put me through to bank and the phone just rang off, thanks Barclays. your crap
so glad my moneys with nationwide and that were I will be telling my mum to transfer all hers too .....
