This is a proper village pub. The locals are very friendly and welcoming. Emma & Barry are wonderful hosts. Great range of drinks, Amazing garden and terrace at the back. Definitely worth going out of your way for.

Ratings on the Internet were high, so we detoured our journey, intending to eat there. Unfortunately, there was no info on the Internet about food times, and upon our arrival at 2.05pm, we're told the kitchen had closed. So came away.

We booked here as a group of 10 whilst away on a hen do. Staff were very accommodating, opening the kitchen later to enable us to be served. There were clearly regulars in the pub. They wanted to chat and help to make us feel welcome. The food was delicious, although I was a bit disappointed I didn't have room for dessert. I would definitely return here if in the area.

I met a friend at the Blind Fiddler last night. Its his local, but I'd never been there. Its a bit of a trek from Cambridge where we live and its lots of small winding roads so you for sure can't have more than one pint. When I arrived I had just had a minor car issue and was welcomed by the two servers behind the bar and a small, warm bar and dining space with a fire going. Really lovely.
They had a unique selection of beer including two lagers (Kirin and Estrella) and four premixed coktails on tap (daquiry, mojito, straberry martini and passion fruit martini). Odd and perfect.
The menu is on a blackboard. We both had REALLY excellently prepared bangers and mash. Its hard to imagine poorly prepared bangers and mash/fish and chips/burger - but there are differences and this was delicious with freshly made mash.
Great atmosphere, great food, great service. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I VERY rarely give five stars and I would really struggle to give any pub five stars for food.
I will be going back and - for the adventurous staying in Cambridge - if you want to see a classic british pub in a lovely hill village (Anstey) - this one is the one to go to.

Went for a drink on the Halloween themed evening. The landlord had put a great
Halloween display with moving models etc but the best part was the 4 skeletons drinking beer on a table outside the pub. Great display I'm told he does a display at Christmas etc. Great atmosphere!

Beautiful little pub with fantastic atmosphere, lovely staff and 10/10 for Halloween decorations. Absolutely well worth a visit. Will deffo be returning to sample the menu soon.
