The lamb biriyani I had was 10/10. The lamb? Succulent. The spices? Immaculate. The way it was all blended together? Perfection. The owner kamrul was such a pleasant man, like he made the whole experience so warm and welcoming and the waiters were amazing! I will be visiting again, thank you The Ruby!

I was a bit worried when he told me they had changed hands but I shouldn't had been I loved all of it, lamb curry, sag aloo, chicken tikka masala an garlic naan amazing please don't change your menu.

Had a meal at the the Ruby, was a little concerned as it's changed hands recently but I was pleasantly suprise , the food quailty was great, the food was delicious, the staff were extremely freindly, knowledgeable about the menu and couldn't of been more helpful . Great meal and good value
Only down side is they no longer serve alcohol .

I had the lamb biryani thats nice but the curries are oily and the lamb in those curries smelt. The portion in container was half filled up. I don?t know if it?s that particular one time but if you are filling those containers half way everytime then you are ripping people off! I didn?t make the order otherwise I would have said something also it was picked up just before closing.

Ordered tikka Ceylon and potato spots, today 6 July 2024 through just eat, the food arrived 45 minutes later than stated? and was barely warm, the Ceylon curry was swimming in oil, or oil had separated, not a good look, see photo, in all my 50 years of eating curry, I?ve never seen a Ceylon sauce that looked like this? visually unappealing and inedible, totally unsatisfactory situation, I made complaint on just eat, on contacting restaurant they offered to give 20% discount on next order, which I refused to accept, I told them to resend order or refund, they cancelled my order which meant I wasn?t charged. Quality control and consistency matter, sending out dishes where food presentation is clearly below standard? nor should it be accepted by customer, and for a restaurant to do this is just poor vetting on their Part, and the chefs that think this is going to get good reviews for restaurant recommendations, they?re asking for criticism? allowing food to leave restaurant for delivery in this state? is not good! and it?s not what you want to receive or expect! Will not be ordering from here again.

Ordered for takeaway, was very excited as used to love it 10 years ago when we lived here. Meat samosas, chicken tikka masala and butter chicken, keema naan, garlic naan, pilau rice and chips. Curry's were rotten. Chicken in both was disgusting, the butter chicken was plasticy and inedible. Both sauces watery and not very flavourful. Keema naan wasn't great either. The samosas were way too spicy and only 2, used to be amazing and a bag of 8! Waste of money. We binned most of it.

Went here tonight the service and food were horrendous. 1 hour before he even took an order, and before he finished taking that answered the phone to orders.
My chicken was raw and they still had the cheek to try and charge for the rest of the main which I now couldn't eat.

I have frequented this place often with friends and sometimes alone.Always enjoyed the food and the service.The take aways have always been great and arrived promptly.I would recommend if you are local.
