Large store. Has a wide range of DIY materials. Had only one brand of the item I wanted, although several were shown as available when checking online. Items in aisles are not very well marked out making it time consuming to find what I wanted. Overall, a good store though. One star deducted due to poor aisle signage.

I visited a Wickes in Letchworth today 30/7/25. I asked someone politely if he could check stock on something for me. To my shock he aggressively snapped / shouted back at me that he was on the phone (talking into his headset) that I couldn?t possibly of know. Disgusting way to treat a customer, I dread to think how he talks to his staff etc as I have since discovered this was the Manager. This man should not be managing a store with an attitude like his. I told him to calm down, he completely ignored me and ignored me again once his call had finished. Wickes you can accept this review as an official complaint against your Letchworth store manager.
Also the two items that were showing in stock were in fact not in stock so the manager clearly need to get to grip with the store stock control and stop being rude to customers. Absolutely appalling.

Website showing incorrect amount of items in stock after travelling from far away to buy an item. Staff dont even bother go at the back of the store to check.

To the Manger of Wickes
Please train you staff that when they stack the tiles, to make sure that the batch numbers are facing outward and clearly visible. What's the point of stocking 50 boxes when there are split with 3-4 different batch numbers. Can't even get enough for a small bathroom

I was really keen to go with Wickes for both a new bathroom and kitchen renovation. I called in advance and a lovely gentleman I spoke with arranged for someone else from the store to call me back. I found this person?s whole attitude to be really quite rude and dismissive during the whole conversation. At one point during the conversation, I asked what measures the fitters take to ensure they don?t accidentally damage other parts of the property when they?re working. I was basically told, in a nutshell, that if that happens, well that would unfortunate but it?s on me to rectify that. That in no way inspired confidence that they would do a decent job if they are that carefree and blasé in their attitude about causing collateral damage while they?re working. Wickes has now been completely ruled out for both my kitchen and bathroom renovations.
