Morrisons of Letchworth has gone down hill. Fridges and freezers that have been out of order for months. The moving stairs from the underground car park hardly ever work the shutter has been broken for months so you have to use the exit side to enter which is a hazard. the toilets are in a bad state. The fresh pizza I keep clear of as I saw a worker making the pizza she wiped her nose on her hand a carried on making them. Not much stock and can be more expensive than other supermarkets You can never get a trolley without searching the car park.

The gents in this store are an absolute disgrace and a health hazard. The smell of urine and faeces is overpowering and enough to make you heave. Clearly an issue with the underfloor drainage system. It really needs to be rectified asap. I've a good mind to inform the local health and safety as not more than 10 metres from food aisles too.

This particular store has staff who do not apply common sense and reason to situations. Do not bother going here

I went into this store today 10.2.25 to do my weekly shop to find that at least 2 chiller Isles broken down and 2 freezer Isles broken down along with the bakery still not producing fresh rolls due to ovens being broken which has been ongoing for at least a month . This store needs to get its act together to insure all equipment is serviceable . When I complained staff just laughed and said it is what it is which I found just dam right rude . I am supposed to bringing a young lad to this store tomorrow 11.2.25 who has autism to do his food shop which will be quite difficult if he can not get the items he requires . All I found was signs saying stock wil be back tomorrow. Does this mean tomorrow or the next day or the day after that . Morrisons at letchworth used to be one of the best supermarkets for miles around but its rapidly declining.

This shop used to be excellent, but has increasingly been getting worse after the Morrison family sold their stake in the company. Problems include: poor stock control (often many empty shelves), less numbers and not so good/disillusioned staff, longer queues at the tills at peak times, car parking facilities in poor condition (escalator often out of action).
Two weeks ago I went there only to find the underground car park 'closed' because the 'entrance' shutter wasn't working (down), though people were still using the car park (both ways) via the exit, with nothing to stop them (serious health and safety breach in my view). I parked in the main car park instead, only for my car to drop into a really deep pothole and bottom out. Hopefully it hasn't caused any significant damage.
This week, 75-80% of ALL the refrigerated/frozen sections were closed off (despite the shop only being completely refitted a few years ago). With the many empty shelves other than that, plus the car park issues STILL unresolved, why bother to shop there at all? Other than at peak times, the shop is practically deserted, including the previously well patronised cafe.
They;ve also got rid of the very nice (10p at the end of the day) end-of line offers, replacing them with some not-so-cheap 'mystery bag' which you have to go elsewhere for and don't know the contents.
Sadly, this (in my view) isn't a one-off. I've seen much the same at the store in my parents' home town (much newer store as well) and the stores in the South West when I go on holiday there.
Even the franchised 'Morrisons Local' stores are affected, especially with poor stock levels and no worthwhile end-of-line offers, as it's easy to compare them from when they were (for example) McColl's.
Plus they are not really competitive on price, and like many competitors, have seemingly dropped the quality or value of many products.

toilets are a gamble, often because out of order. 3hrs free parking.

Very similar to other Morrisons stores with good parking. Three hours allowed to enable visits to other places in the vicinity.
Morrisons seems to struggle with competitive prices so stick to their loss leaders.
Be very careful to check shelf stickers in this store as for the last 2 weeks despite being advised by myself there are wrong sticker prices in numerous locations. If it seems too cheap it probably isn't, just in the wrong place.
