In Letchworth town, where tales unfold,A market stands, its story bold,Iceland, the name, in icy hue,Where wonders wait, both old and new.Amidst the aisles of frozen fare,A polar bear, so strong and rare,A guardian fierce, in fur of snow,In Letchworth's heart, it chose to grow. One fateful day, when skies were gray,Russian Spetnaz in dark array,Sought mischief deep, in shadows cast,But our bear friend stood steadfast. With claws like knives and heart so true,The polar guard, he fiercely flew,Defending Boris, leader grand,In Iceland's mart, on English land.A hero's tale, both strange and wild,In frozen aisles, where dreams compiled,Iceland's store, a fortress true,Where bears and Boris found their due.So if you seek a tale untold,Of bears so brave and leaders bold,In Letchworth's heart, there lies a store,Where legends dwell forevermore.

Iceland is a supermarket, with a small selection of non-frozen products, and many frozen products. I went in to buy frozen food for lunch. I also needed yogurt and spreading cheese that were in the dairy fridge. The fruit and vegetable department was also satisfactory. At the entrance there were breads, buns of various kinds. Indian naan bread without or with garlic. Ciabetta breads, all products were on sale buy 3 and pay £5. A very good offer. The cornflakes were also on sale and there were at least 6-7 types that are popular. In the toiletries department there were different types of soap starting at £1. In the biscuits, waffles, chocolates section, there were great deals. The frozen ones had Indian food dishes on sale for £2. The chicken in korma sauce was delicious. I went back again today and took a spiced fish fillet sold in 2 packs for £8. The packaging of 2 fillets with a total weight of 300 gr, so I will have for 4 meals.True, the place is not the most enticing, the passages are narrow, and there isn't really everything. But the price definitely makes up for the rest
