“In Letchworth town, where tales unfold,A market stands, its story bold,Iceland, the name, in icy hue,Where wonders wait, both old and new.Amidst the aisles of frozen fare,A polar bear, so strong and rare,A guardian fierce, in fur of snow,In Letchworth's heart, it chose to grow. One fateful day, when skies were gray,Russian Spetnaz in dark array,Sought mischief deep, in shadows cast,But our bear friend stood steadfast. With claws like knives and heart so true,The polar guard, he fiercely flew,Defending Boris, leader grand,In Iceland's mart, on English land.A hero's tale, both strange and wild,In frozen aisles, where dreams compiled,Iceland's store, a fortress true,Where bears and Boris found their due.So if you seek a tale untold,Of bears so brave and leaders bold,In Letchworth's heart, there lies a store,Where legends dwell forevermore.”

“Great range of father's day cards and presents. I was served quickly today which was good because the only issue I have is that at lunchtime they don't have enough staff on the tills. I get 1/2 hour for lunch so this is really irritating - wish they would have a queue for people on lunch only rather than make us queue with those who have all day but chose to shop at lunchtime!!”

“Clean. Well laid out. Helpful staff. Specifically seeking plantain chips. Not presently in stock, but come back to “Jamaican week” event. Impressed.
At Tesco, 3 shop and 1 manager did not know what I was looking for. On 5th attempt a shop packer took me straight to the plantain chips.
Will visit again, but my main shop is at Tesco or Sainsburys, only because I have got used to their stocks and lay out.”

“Really upped their game over the last couple of years and now do some very good products and usually have plenty of offers to help the pocket. The takeaway curry range is so good, especially the jelfrazi.Good staff too and open 2nd till if a long queue.”

“Cheap and cheerful store from a chain. Some of the goods are OK but be selective as this is not always the case. They do stock a wide range of products from all departments from pet foods to paints. The service through the tills is usually slow but this is no reflection on the staff as I have always found them polite and cheerful, just the lack of open tills is the issue here.I needed storage”

“Mid afternoon trip to supermarket... Really not busy, which was good! However, not many tills open either... but, good amount of self-service tills and also scan and go tills!”

“I live above the shop, so I'm in & out the place. The shelves are never fully stocked, half empty. Nisa should remove their name off the front of the shop.”

“I find Bursland Tesco Express very useful; great opening hours and when I recall the dark interior of Nisa I can only say this is a whole lot better. Sure staff could do with being a bit more cheerful but i often open conversation and get a ready response.”
