I use this cex quite alot as it's local to my work, this review regards the gentleman's review below that he couldn't return his controller, as I was in the store buying some bits myself. over hearing the store worker claiming it had been over used and over pressed. Not going to lie i was shocked at how they pied him off. If that is cex policy I don't totally blame the employee but it was handled poorly and don't advertise 5 year warranty. Real shame and I felt sorry for the lad, felt cex left him and themselves down. Do better cex.
I would say I've purchased lots of games from this store and not had a problem sad to see this

My son bought a PS4 about a month ago, he hadn't used it much and the controller packed up , we thought that they would just replace it under there so called 5 year warranty, instead they accused him of damaging the controller himself, getting water on it , which no way he had. Very poor service shame on them , they lost custom today as well as I was going to buy quite an expensive Amazon device no way after hearing they would not replace or repair my son's controller, so that's two customers they have lost in Letchworth Garden City, my advice would be if you buy an expensive item from these people the 5 year warranty means nothing.

Extremely picky when evaluating technology. Took in a mint condition fold 5, in a condition even samsung would sell you new. And they spent most of the time i was there looking for a reason to pay out less as a B grade. To the point where it was bad business practices as I was going to buy a new phone off them.
I myself am picky, but if you have to tilt the phone in to a perfect angle so that light shines on the top corner to find the slightest of micro scratches that could have even been there from new. This company has a problem and it only out to take advantage of customers. I know for a fact they would upwell as grade A as some of the phone they sell as A are in worse condition. I imagine they lost about 600 pounds in profits today after trade in and the new phone I won't be buying from them.

Unhelpful & frustrated member of staff with no help when i wanted a price for my laptop. The lady got annoyed as i didn't know how to restore my laptop & not have any details left on it. It really looked like the shop was was self owned/self ran & she was untouchable....like many of these petrol stations around which making a complaint would mean nothing, She needed to wind her neck in 7 what an attitude or what!? I youtubed how to do it & returned again.....and again she was frustrated i didn't follow the steps/procedures. There was a part where i didn't need to continue & a part where i just needed to skip but it commanded me to fill a part out! I am not computer literate but sort of know how to around PCs in a way.2nd visit she decided to tell/inform me of the procedure at a certain stage/step of what to do. My 3rd visit i managed to damage my laptop on the plastic screen surround on transportation, but the screen was still fine. She wasn't interested! Not happy. Was quoted £75 to £100 approx but now i sold it to a friend for £50. Very unprofesional,frustrated,angry & annoyed lady....will never go back. What a horrible experience! AVOID!
