Sorry to say that it has gone downhill in the last couple of years. Furnishings are a shoddy, structure needs maintenance.
I had booked and paid for an early check in. The room was still occupied when I arrived. Had to go elsewhere to kill time while they kicked out the occupants and got it ready. No refund of early check-in cost. Reception weren?t particularly interested.
Note that there is no AC, so if travelling in the summer bear this in mind.
Ideal location for M25 / M1 / Watford and surrounding areas.

Greeted by a member of staff smoking outside the entrance, not the nicest experience walking my young kids through a cloud of cigarette smoke. Same issue upon leaving, guests smoking in the doorway absolutely revolting. Stayed in a room which was uncomfortably hot but fortunately didn't stay long. It was a quiet room to be fair. Breakfast was OK and there is gluten free bread and a safe gluten free toaster in the kitchen, staff will toast the gf bread for you. It's one of those places that give you a big ring binder when you mention allergens, so you're sat like a numpty looking through a huge list of food you can't eat. Pretty old school. But all the staff were pleasant even the smokey ones.

Great location for where we needed. Had 2 fans in the room but was still unbearable to sleep with both going.

Tatty and old hotel. Some corridors smell awful. Dried blood stains on pillows and long hairs left in the bathroom. Air condition is not working and a fan is provided in each room. The only plus side it?s relatively cheap and the man at the reception was super nice and helpful.

would highly recomend this place. we took my little boy here to stay for his birthday as we were taking him to the harry potter studios that is only a 10mins drive from there, we wanted to make a night of it for him. I had emailed a week or so before we was due to stay to ask if there was anything the could do to make my boys stay special and they went above and beyond. They had gone out of there way to put a happy birthday banner and balloons up in the room, printed out colouring sheets and crayons to colour them in, also left him a little gift of sweet birthday badge and a card for in the room along with a harry potter gift. the staff there was so helpful and kind they make my boys stay there one to remember.

Great location for the warner bros studio tour.
Really well priced at just over £100 for a saturday night for a family of 4 including breakfast.
The only issue I have would be it could be more visible from the main road I only noticed It because I seen the adjacent restaurant next door. So a more visible sign would help.
Room was warm but premier inn do make it very clear that rooms don't have air-conditioning so im not sure why people make issue of this. The fans did the job and I slept well.

Couldn?t fault the staff. Very helpful and very friendly. Any queries we had were answered and dealt with in a positive manner.
Rooms: Typical Premier inn rooms and you know what you are getting and what to expect
Walkability: In walking distance to some shops and restaurants and not too far to walk.
Food and drinks: Food was good quality in the restaurants we visited. Staff were friendly and food was fresh and delicious

We stay here when we are going to a longbow shoot at Munden Estate. It's a lovely clean Premier Inn as all of the ones we've stayed at have been. The staff are always polite, friendly and helpful including the housekeeping team. The breakfast is a help yourself jobby ???.
Rooms: As all Premier Inn rooms we have stayed in they are clean and have lovely comfortable beds. Tea/Coffee making facilities, plenty of towels and pillows - all the basics you could need.
Food and drinks: In house self service breakfast and either a 5 minute walk into the village or across the car park to a Miller and Carter restaurant.

Good location, friendly staff and clean rooms. Good value breakfast.
Lack of Aircon on a hot sticky night, a minor complaint.

It's OK, does what you expect from a premier inn.
Staff were helpful, but breakfast was crowded. They try and space you out, but everyone turns up at same time anyway (as most people there want to head off to get all day at harry potter world), and it's very limited seating.
Main downside was no air con. It wasn't overly hot when we went, but room just got hotter and hotter even with windows open to let air in. They did provide 2 fans but they were cheap and useless. If you want evening food then take a 2 min drive into the village to find what you need.
