We had an AMAZING evening at Oscars! Neither of us have been in about 20 years and decided to go for our anniversary date night. The service was fantastic, the waitresses were lovely and friendly. The food was wonderful and the price was fantastic. We went on a Monday and they had 20% off, we added a tip for the staff as it was so well deserved. We over ordered but they put our food in pizza boxes to take home. We are most definitely returning very soon. It was such a lovely evening out :) Thank you Oscars for providing us with wonderful food and service. We will see you very soon.

Wasn?t sure what to expect- but I was not disappointed. We went yesterday at lunchtime and had pasta and pizzas. The food was excellent, the service was top notch. There was nothing that we could find fault with.

Friendly service and helpful with explaining the gluten free options. But sadly the food was underwhelming. The seafood/shellfish tasted old and the dish was full of broken pieces of shell. The carbonara was a tad rich also. Salmon and prawn risotto was OK. Overall, for the price we were disappointed.

Visited Oscars on a Monday evening and had a great experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious and well-prepared ? you can tell care goes into every dish. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

Only 4 stars for atmosphere as it was only weekday lunch but it wasn't empty. Have been here for dinner and atmosphere is good in the evening. We'd noted there was a lunchtime menu Monday-Friday but we weren't offered it at first, and had to ask for it. The serving size got the lunch menu, as it turns out, is the same as the non-lunch menu so it's a very good deal for lunch.
So, to the important stuff. As I said I've been here before on a number of occasions as we're local, and the food has never been anything other than excellent. The pizzas and pasta are great. Well worth coming out for. Crisp, light bases, great topping (or filling in the calzone... Which is huge BTW). I had gorgonzola pasta (you can choose which pasta, I had penne) which was rich, dreamy, cheesey with spinach and I topped it with extra parmesan (my fave). Really good food. My wife had artichoke and olive pizza which she could just about manage with my help. We had a soft drink each and it came to £21 plus a tip (from the lunchtime menu).
Service was polite and pleasant and not pushy or careless. All customers I heard were treated very well.
Hi to Oscar's if you fancy a tasty pizza or pasta plus there are other dishes such as salads, things from the grill (steak, seabass, chicken), risotto etc. Something for everyone.
We'll be back.

Why, oh why, do these places insist on playing music? REALLY loud and clattery in there. We 3 could barely converse. No soft furnishings to absorb the noise. Very close to the people sitting next to us.

Only dropping a star because they dropped a full glass of coke on my feet and I spent the rest of the meal with soggy socks. Wouldn?t mind so much but I was drinking beer! It wasn?t even my drink. Food was excellent as always.
