Nice pub and staff. But unfortunately ended up paying twice, nearly £70 for 4 of us. The wetherspoons app did not work, so ordered at the bar but just checked
d my bank account and I have been charged twice, emailed wetherspoons and no reply very disappointed!

It's Spoons, so you know what you're getting. It's got a lovely garden, really peaceful at lunchtime and big enough to have a quiet table to yourself

They made vodka with orange juice
And I ordered vodka apple juice
But they refused to change it for me

Been a couple of visits since December, fantastic building and great coffee, sadly every visit for a breakfast has had an issue, either no kitchen at all, raw tomatoes with breakfast, another time burned black, no susages so were offered an extra egg, you would be lucky to ever have an American as on 3 occasions no pancakes, better places in the town for a breakfast

Almost hour wait for breakfast as they just forgot that you order one and serve any other customers. When come back tovbar after 30min and asked for mine, was told sorry we forgot. Absolute unprofessional kids behind the bar

Thomas the manager at the star Wetherspoons in Hoddesdon had the worst attitude. We asked for a brandy and it came with ice. We called someone over which happened to be Thomas and advised there shouldn't be any ice in Brandy to which he sharply responded "well I'm not making you another one". He advised us it was our error for not removing ice on the app, however there wasn't an option to remove. He was talking to my boyfriends dad and his partner who are in their 70s showed he was being ageist and kicked us out. Absolutely appalling service and I would never recommend coming here if you are being served by him. Please re-evaluate who you employ.

Not have any food but service and choice of drinks are good and at the great prices you expect from wetherspoons. Very long walk from front to bar tho but can always still use the table service.
There is a nice side garden for smokers or those that like being outside and a seated area at the front where your not meant to smoke but people still do.
Great staff always friendly and always looking smart.

I waited to review this wetherspoon's I've now been here a few times and my star rating tells all except what a very interesting building this is well done to Tim and his team.

Very cool pub with open fireplace and old style building, staff are a bit miserable and the vegan breakfest was just sausage and hash browns, if it wasn't only £2 for veganuary and if I hadn't ordered 2 as standard I'd have been more hangry about it but at the time I couldn't be bothered to ask why
