This is our favourtie coffee shop in Hitchin. My son and I try and come here every Sunday and I couldn't recommend it more. The coffee is great, the staff are lovely and the cakes are always amazing. Would definately recommend stopping here for a coffee!

Absolutely horrible! As I walked in, I was greeted by an extremely unhelpful and grumpy waitress. I ordered a sausage roll from their display case in the corner and it was not hot throughout, as if it was microwaved. Halsey’s was Hitchin’s first provisioners and has been supplying fabulous foods & drinks since 1854. The business has evolved and adapted through the years but the one things that has not changed is our desire to provide you with everyday drinks & treats that you can enjoy in our Tudor building or take home.
We offer a wide range with 36 teas, 12 coffee blends, smoothies, iced tea & coffee and more. Also on offer is a selection of 24 sweet/savoury treats.
Our other specialty is comfort food e.g. bountiful breakfast baps, cheesy bubble & squeak and toasties. All of these are simple comfort foods, done well.
The deli focusses on cheese & all its possible accompaniments, tea leaves & coffee beans. We also create foodies hampers to order
