The server was quite aggressive to myself and my daughter. I asked the older chap his name on the way out very politely his name as he wasn?t wearing a name badge and he wouldn?t tell me. I assume the manager. I asked the other staff his and their name. They wouldn?t say and hid their name badges. (Alfie) The actual hot chocolate was lovely and the young people who serviced me (including Alfie) were all lovely but the so called manager was intimidating and rude. I will not return.

Normal Costa drinks. Staff are a mixed bag , though a lazy bunch. No-one serving when I went in and the tattoed doughnut that eventually served seemed to feel she eas doing me a favour. Guy working there always friendly.

Come here weekly when working from the office. Last visit the tall chap called Charlie served me (he is often serving or making the drinks) and he?s always a pleasure to talk to. Always friendly. Always happy. Is a testament to the team in the store. Please pass on my praise to Charlie. Been coming here for the past year or so when I can and he?s always happy to serve customers and help where he can. Thank you costa for a great team in hitchin and a great team member :)

On June 21st 2024 I went to this store with my carer, I needed to sit down and have a cold drink. We were approached by a lady name not known but middle aged. She was extremely impatient and rude from the start off, we told her we wanted to look at the cold drink options on the menu board that kept changing so quick. She was very aggressive and said ill tell you, I asked her why she was being so rude she then said goodbye and turned her back on us. I asked the other young lady for help she walked away. Then an older gentleman came behind the counter I said sir can you help us , he responded your talking he my colleague I said no I'm talking to you. He then became extremely aggressive and rude like the other lady had been. This was a completely un provoked attack from the staff at this store I asked for manager or supervisor and was told we don't have one. After 35 years working in retail and hospitality management I have never experienced servis so disgraceful.

Wanted to give a shout out to an older gentleman that took our order this afternoon! Such a great guy! Easygoing, jolly and gay! Great to talk to! People like that make you want to go back just for a friendly atmosphere :)

Been to Costa Hitchin this morning around 9:30, 13/04/2024 ordered my large coffee for takeaway with oat milk and caramel syrup, old looking lady started making my coffee, while she making my coffee all 3 staff members been talking and laughing and not looking at the order, she did not use oat milk, she did not put caramel syrup in it.On my way to work when I sipped it realised it is not oat milk made coffee, it was normal milk and no taste of caramel at all, I went back to the shop and mentioned the situation and that old looking lady just gone mad and refused to give me the drink plus kept my previous coffee as well, obviously she did not like that she made a mistake.Now I have got really bad tummy ache due to normal milk.there is no refund and there is no coffee, burgled by costa Hitchin this morning, if any Costa management reading this comment can you please arrange at least my refund please, it was £5.20, attaching the receipt in the pictureWhole experience was disgusting, made me embarrassed in front of all the customers in the Costa in my own town.

Shocking experience from an older woman behind the counter who was making the coffee. Bought a latte and received a cup of untextured lukewarm milk. I politely asked if it could be remade to which I got told that there was nothing wrong with it, to speak to her in her own language, and to make it myself if I wasn?t happy (no exaggeration!). The other staff seemed intimidated by her which is a shame because they were great. Seems like this is a consistent trend based on previous comments. Sort it out Costa - extremely damaging for your brand!

I always come in for the same coffee, one time the chap in there didn?t hear me saying I wanted none dairy milk but the girl recognised me and asked me, you want soy milk right! yes! It?s me!??I love her! Such a good service and they are so polite all of them

Decent chap behind the counter was about to look in the allergens book for me when I asked about a particular food item on behalf of my 11-year-old son, but a woman behind the counter with him pulled a face and said they couldn?t guarantee anything was sesame-free before he even had chance to find it in the book. Never got to find out what the allergen book said as her snooty, disinterested attitude put me off staying. Walked out.Dietary restrictions: Asked about sesame in cake product but was practically dismissed as if it was too much trouble.

The woman behind the counter was very rude and intimidating. The young girl helping her seemed to be very scared of her. The coffee was alright but that woman's behaviour spoiled everything.
