Good coffee

Went in after work on Saturday for a takeaway at around 17:45 to be told they were closed, they close at 18:00 i checked as i went in, why stay open until 18:00 if you can't manage a takeaway coffee at quarter to. I wouldn't mind but I also work in town and have been in at that time before because I have had to stay late to cash up after dealing with customers until the closing minutes, and I have been served without issue. Why it was an issue today is beyond me. I won't criticise them for standing around chatting at the time because we all do it I get it. But if Nero doesn't want people's custom then fine I'll go elsewhere, coffee is better elsewhere anyway only popped in because I had a voucher. Won't bother again.

Enticed in today by the pictures of the 'Millionaires Hot Chocolate' and the 'Pistachio Hot Chocolate'. What was delivered looked nothing like the advertisement - don't bother ordering these, folks.

Tables not cleared, trays of cups everywhere, positively the worst cafe mocha I have ever tasted, bitter, milk too hot & burned. Queue so slow wasn?t worth returning it. Left it on the table - it will probably be still there ?

I?ve used to love this coffee shop because Nero is my absolute favourite coffee. On the 5th of September(my birthday) I went to treat myself with a coffee and I?ve asked if they do the honey oat latte and the guy with glasses said yes, when he gave me the coffee I?ve asked him why I don?t have the cream and sprinkle and he said they don?t do it anymore and they only do the syrup which is not what he said when I?ve ordered. I?ve asked for a regular size but the cup was a small one and the coffee tasted bitter and it had too much froth, it was more like a cappuccino and not a latte, it was horrible. I?ve sipped twice and throw it in the nearest bin. So disappointed, I?m not going back there any time soon.

Busy. Crowded. All tables were covered in used up coffee cups and no staff to clean up. Revolting!

I have loved going to this Nero for a while now, but the quality of the coffee and service levels have really fallen recently. Senior staff who used to make amazing coffee and offer fantastic service don?t seem to be around much anymore. Trainee barista is great but remaining staff seem far more interested in their conversations than their customers.
Such a pity; won?t be visiting anymore.

I usually go to Greggs at lunch time, but it has been closed for over a month for a refurb. Starbucks is ok, but thought I?d try here for a change.First of all, the stuff I normally order in Starbucks seemed cheaper here which I was very happy about, plus when I handed over the panini to be toasted, they offered to bring it to the table once it was ready rather than me needing to wait.Quality of food was good and all the staff seemed cheerful and happy to help. The interior was nice and airy, not too crammed in which is nice. I would come back!
