As a Chinese lady myself who cooks often at home, I am very fussy with my Chinese takeaway. The food needs to be good for me to be loyal. I've tried several takeaways in Hitchin, and Bodillys is my favourite so far. I usually order wonton soup, spring rolls, beef chow mien, king prawn chow mien, special fried rice, sweet and sour pork to name a few. So far no complaints from my family. When I get the takeaway just for myself, I would order their wonton soup, spring rolls and king prawn chow mien. I must say that their food isn't tasteless at all. I don't understand why some reviewers say that the food was tasteless. I like the fact that their food isn't overseasoned like most takeaways. I hate it when my food is too salty. I tend to order in the shop and collect it myself so I have no issues with waiting time. Of course I still have to wait for my food and follow the queue. But waiting time was about 15-20 mins. I've no problem with the lady at the counter too.

Waited over 2 hours for food after being told it would be 45-60 mins. When we called to find out where it was we were told it would be another half an hour at least. Late delivery isn?t uncommon here but this is ridiculous, order was cancelled, we won?t be going back here again.

Food was warm upon arriving home but was flavourless. The chicken in the salt and pepper chicken was tough and hard to eat. Dont think we will be returning. On the hunt for a good Chinese in Hitchin and this isn?t it.

Best Chinese takeaway in Hitchin. The food is excellent (not greasy, not too salty, good ingredients, tastes great) and prices are very reasonable. Food is always delivered promptly. Highly recommend!

The Chinese dishes were good, but the Thai dish was not great. I ordered the food before 7 pm and was told to expect it at 8 pm, but I didn?t receive it until after 9 pm. Don?t order on the weekend; it might be better midweek.

Lovely food but often unavailable on Just Eat, not sure why :/Would order more often if available. Very disappointing as the best Chinese.

Food was hot, but the smallest portions I've ever had from there, chicken had a strange taste not Chicken Shish as I know it. Dissapointing and very poor! Won't be ordering again.
