I don?t really know what to say. I am in the market for a new current account so came in ask about what Barclays had to offer and why I should use their services. Well, what Barclays has to offer is rudeness, disinterest, zero customer care. I?m glad I found out now before embarking on what I?m sure will be a gruelling transfer. A truly awful bank, I cannot understand how they have any customers.

Unfortunately there is a women at the counter called Tracy every time I?m going in she?s so miserable and not helpful !!!!!! Arrived at 13:57 to put some money in my account and she just walked off all I heard it was (counter closes at 2 ) ! And that?s not the only time . Never mind?.. I?ve never seen her smiling at anyone. I Will switch my bank account as soon as I can . Good luck

Extremely slow service.There is only ever one person at the counter with such a massive queue every time I am in there.There are two registers though which could easily be used by two staff members! Especially now that all of the restrictions have been lifted from e pandemic.There are several staff members just standing around half the time.Some days there is only one person supervising the self service machines and manning the register.You wouldn?t expect this from a bank this size! It?s easily one of the biggest banks in the town.There have been numerous times I have spent at least 25 minutes waiting to be served in the morning!Even though it says they open at 9 most days, the doors won?t actually open until at least five minutes later!I go to a smaller bank too and I?m out quicker!

DO NOT USE THIS BANK Customer service does not exist in this branch, counter closed at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and only one member of staff in the banking hall with very discruntled customers waiting to be served. NatWest is the bank to go to Hitchin, good service and counter open during the afternoon.

I came in with a dispute about a payment and Tracy the lady who was running the door was very helpful as she was clearly very busy running around the bank to get customers in and I can't falut her customer service. However I have then spent the next 40 minutes waiting to be served normally this wouldn't be an issue, but the rest of the staff INCLUDEING staff that are clearly not working have walked in and spent most of this time just chatting, then looking over towards my direction to then quickly look away. I understand the current covid situation has made things difficult for people but having working in a customer based job I personally feel that the neglect to even serve me is appalling. Other than the lady to was running the door the rest of this staff don't seem to really make any effortVery disappointed and I don't plan to come back here unless it's the utmost emergency

I had an appointment in this Barclays today. I arrived early and was greeted by two smiling ,welcoming and polite members of staff. I was offered a drink and one of the members of staff tried to see if I could been seen early. I was told about their free wifi to help pass the time whilst she was checking. Unfortunately this wasn't possible and the lady taking my appointment had fallen sick. The staff went over and above to ensure I was seen on time and even helped me get my car parked in their car park didn't catch the ladies name who helped be but thank you . Despite everything I was seen on time by Lisa who was amazing ,so helpful , reassuring and friendly. The branch was clean and modern clearly well organized with professional staff who take pride in their work.
